Totally unexpected but a welcome surprise. I just happened to look up fly fishing shops while on a pit stop in Marin and ran across this wonderful place! The owner was there to help and answer all my questions as well as handing out some great insight and a fish tale or two. Can’t say enough good things about this store. A fishy beacon in the north end of Silicon Valley.

I'm so happy to finally have a fly shop in Marin. This place is great and Derek is super helpful and friendly. He has a wealth of knowledge and can point you in the right direction on piece of water in the area. And he has nice little collection of local flies.

Really helpful staff, maybe he is the owner. I am an inexperienced fly fisher, and he was able to suggest some flys to catch bass and pan fish. First day we caught about 15 pan fish each and the second day landed 2 large bass in under an hour. I will definitely be back when needing some advice and equipment for our next fishing adventure.

Great store not a big box but quality and knowledge abounds the owners are a walking encyclopedia of information on fishing skiing hiking and boating a true pleasure to sit down and chat with. Want to know where to fish on the snake river? Ask Derek! Want to know where to hike in desolation

I really like these guys, I fly fish (Tenkara usually) and they were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Really didn’t know they were there, I was looking for another business. Western is gone, not crazy about Big 5 or REI (member for 50 years) so happy to find these guys.
