UPDATE: According to Birkenstock, there is no specific warranty or guarantee on their footwear, even where the shoes have been worn little (see the sole in the picture.) Should any employees of the Larkspur Landing store advise that it is a Company store or is somehow affiliated with Birkenstock USA, this is not true. Birkenstock USA states: "All Birkenstock retailers are independently owned and operated." The store refused to replace obviously defective shoes, sending me to Birkenstock USA, which is the most customer-hostile retailer I've encountered in some time.
Second UPDATE: Birkenstock has a quality problem. The sole on a second pair of relatively new Birks with minimal wear has separated. See new photos below. Does Birkenstock even care? NO! Prices go up, quality goes down.

Terrific store inside charming Larkspur hidden gem mall ... for the iconic German footwear brand that's been taking the US by storm! It's quite the experience to touch and feel these in a Birkenstock-owned store designed with the brand's feel throughout. We were assisted by knowledgeable and courteous Tony & Rose and were pleasantly surprised to find the full assortment in a clean, beautifully designed store, rich with references to Birkenstock's storied brand journey. We were even able to find the super-hot Boston clogs (repeat NYT feature lately and a celebrity fave), and a surprising 25% sale on some models (a rarity with Birkenstock given they're always in-demand ... we secured a favorite pair still being worn as I write this review. The store is pet friendly and a giant gentle dog named Bear seemed tickled to smell the fresh leather ... outside the mall feels right out of Gilmore Girls with tons of charm and things to do with kids (turtles! log houses!) and a weekly Sunday food truck court besides a dozen eateries, candy stores, etc.

Loved our service here - we came late in the day and we asked for the same shoe in many sizes - it was no problem for them to help us. The manager was jewel. Birkenstocks for 250 years and forever!!!

Scott was super helpful in selecting various shoes for my many children. Christmas time can be difficult, and it was nice for there to be good customer service!

I was helped by someone who brought out a couple of shoes and then disappeared. I tried to get help after that, but I couldn't flag anyone down. I don't think they are short-staffed because there were at last five staff, but most of the time only a couple of them seemed to be out on the floor at a time. I politely tried to get help for about 10 minutes and then left, because it's just weird after a while. It's not even a big store 🤷🏾‍♂️

Had an incredible visit to the Marin Birkenstocks store recently, where two amazing employees, Scott and Alex, went above and beyond to assist me. Their expertise in finding the perfect shoe and ensuring a comfortable fit was unparalleled. I felt listened to and valued as a customer. Their patience and knowledge made the whole process enjoyable. Highly recommend this store for anyone seeking quality service and a great shopping experience. Five stars all the way! I will be coming back and asking for both of them.

Never realized that there is a Birkenstock storefront over here. It was a lovely space and so helpful to be able to try on some of the shoes I had been wondering about (they don't just make sandals!).

Because of a foot injury Birkenstocks are one of the few shoes I can wear so this was extremely useful. The staff were knowledgeable and they have most things in stock.

Called ahead to make sure they have the shoe I wanted. They put it on hold for me. I was on my way to vacation and they were on the way so this was super convenient. Huge parking lot and the shoes were ready for me when I got there. I was in and out in two minutes. I LOVED this experience. Knowing what you want plus parking/competent staff making shopping painless!
