I had a great experience. I was in need of a new vacuum. It’s a family run business and the owner was so friendly, not pushy, and very knowledgeable. He helped me select just the right vacuum. It’s been like 6 months it’s seriously the best vacuum I’ve ever had. My mom even went back to buy the exact model I have.

I had been looking for a vacuum cleaner online for months and was getting frustrated because all the good ones that I had on my wishlist were so expensive. I wanted a canister, either Miele or Sebo, but sadly it was not in my budget.

After my Dyson v7 gave out, I figured I would have to keep using the crappy Bissel that belonged to my roommate for the next 6 months or so while I saved up for one of the above mentioned vacuums. I was complaining to my mom about this one day when she recommended I go to ABC Vacuum as they sell refurbished units for a very reasonable price.

Upon entering the shop I was promptly greeted and the gentleman salesman asked what I was looking for. He was very gracious and patient with my mom who was rambling quite a bit (lol) and proceeded to show me a Miele I had on my wishlist that had been refurbished.

The salesman demonstrated the vacuum, and i was impressed with its performance so I decided to buy it.

The price was great, way less than I would have paid for a new one (more than half off I would say), and he even gave us a discount on a box of replacement filters.

Also worth noting is the warranty— if the unit has any issues i was told they will fix it! Not that I expect any issues, but it’s definitely nice to know.

I’m very pleased with my new (to me) Miele. Thanks, ABC Vacuum! I have already (and will continue to) refer this store to my friends and neighbors.

Do not take your vacuum to this shop. They will lie to you about what repairs are needed, aggressively push you to buy an expensive new machine, then deliver a refurbished one while claiming it is "new".

The hose on our C3 Miele Marin vacuum was damaged and we needed a new hose. The Miele Customer Help line referred us to ABC Vacuum in Mountain View, so we took it there. The pushy sales / repair guy, Tony, essentially said that the spare hose could not be fixed, and also said that he had discovered a new problem -- that the vacuum's neck joint between the periscoping wand and the head was damaged and nonfunctional.

He pushed us hard to buy a "brand new" C3 Kona instead. Believing that an authorized Miele repair shop would not be lying to us, we bought it. There were some odd things about the transaction: the invoice had wrong date and named the wrong person, and ABC Vacuum did not provide the original box or packaging or papers for this "new" C3. Strangely, this one business goes by two names: "A Vacuum and Sewing Hospital" and "ABC Vacuum". At the time of purchase, ABC Vacuum did not inform us about any policy regarding no refunds or any restocking fee.

Returning home with the old and "new" vacuums, we plugged in the old one (which ABC Vacuum had said was damaged and nonfunctional) into an electric power outlet (which Tony had not done - undoubtedly on purpose), and the neck joint worked fine. So, it turns out that our old C3 was totally fine, but just needed a new spare hose.

Tony refused to take back the "new" one and refund us the money.

Super fast (same-day) and friendly. Found this higher pen deep inside my Miele vacuum. Really glad I brought it in for a professional to fix.

Tony is a fun and characteristic guy. He's got a lot of Italian gusto to him, which other reviews may have taken as rudeness, decide for yourself. Got me in and out quickly with what I needed (replacement parts for my vacuum), and got me in/out quickly no hassle. I think a lot of reviews fail to realize he deals primarily in resale and refurbished vacuums. Good experience overall, will be returning and would recommend

Just walked in on Saturday afternoon hoping to drop off my vacuum cleaner for repair; I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful serviceman, Tony, who was highly knowledgeable and told me up front how the process would work - servicing of the machine and then an estimate for any extra labor/parts. He asked if I wanted it back the same day - wow! really? I didn't think that kind of service existed anymore! Less than 1 hour later I had my vacuum cleaner back, charged a reasonable price and my vacuum cleaner works like new! Highly recommend!

Do NOT bring anything here. They are both crooks and should be closed down. Tony, the sales guy (who acts like he's your best friend and says "don't I know you?") will tell you your vacuum is too old to fix and will try to sell you a "new" vacuum (with no box, that has wheels that show major use, that doesn’t turn on and has clearly been refurbished). When I mentioned that I really liked my old one (that I brought in to get fixed), he cut the price of the new one immediately and pushed me to take it (all in the first 5 minutes). He finally agreed to fix mine, but claimed it was a motor issue - he was guessing. This would cost $100 because it required major work. I happened to return 20 minutes later (I didn’t like our conversation and was going to pick up the vacuum and take it somewhere else) and Tony had already started to fix it. The “boss” who does the repair, said it would only take another 10 minutes (that’s 30 minutes for $100). I waited and Tony gave me the vacuum saying it only needed a new brush. I asked him to start it up (which he wasn’t going to do) and he tried to say it sounded great….but I told him that wasn’t how it was supposed to sound. Right as he started arguing with me, it completely died! He was going to try to send it home UNFIXED! He then told me that the problem must be in the actual motor (which is what he said in the beginning) and now he needed to charge me $189. This is INSANE. When I told him that I wanted to get my vacuum back and that I wasn’t going to pay for the repairs, he told me that he’d give the vacuum back, but I would have to pay the $100 for his labor (that DIDN’T fix it). I ended up going home and calling the main guy. He promised to give me back my vacuum and refund the money. Do NOT go to this place. Read other reviews on Yelp…beware.

My Shark vacuum stopped working. Was a little worried about getting it fixed while in lockdown. Looked up on Google and have driven by this store many times. They are open by appointments only. Steve responded to my voice mail immediately. Took my vacuum, Steve was super efficient, honest and maintained all the hygiene standards for Covid-19.
Steve called me within 15 mins with the diagnosis (filters needed to be changed). he gave me the price on the phone, did not try to oversell.
He had the vacuum ready as promised within 45mins of it being dropped off. Steve was incredibly honest, punctual, courteous, gave me good advice and did not try to oversell. This store has been around for 40 years same location. Highly recommend it. It is very important to support and encourage such businesses.
