Alvin's has HUGE signs saying things like "50% off swimwear", but I couldn't find any women's 2-piece swimsuits for under $60. I was disappointed that the price was so high, and even more disappointed at the very touristy souvenirs l. Most of their souvenirs seemed cheaply made, cliché and terribly over-priced. I was better off going 10 miles away from the beach itself to find swimwear and t-shirts.

They will not offer a refund or exchange on little boy swim trunks even though we had the receipt and we just bought them yesterday, the tags were still on. I asked how this was any different than him trying them on in the store. The woman was sweet but the computers do not allow it and the guy who was supposed to be helping me with the refund walked past me like I wasn’t even talking when I questioned them on the policy. If you are going to buy a bathing suit for your child have them try it on in the store first because apparently there is a difference.

Got to go to Alvin's island anytime I am at the beach. They have a lot of nice gifts, and I always stock up on graphic tee's when I am here.

Well they have nice things.. That's where the good ends. The cashiers are rude, they talk about you outloud where you hear. We came to get souvenirs since it was our first time to Gulf Shores... When you have squeaky toys, um hello.. They are meant to be squeaked. The gentleman behind the desk proceeded to raise his voice to a child and then to pull a toy out from under her. Then the lady behind the cash register screams outloud "will you stop the squeaking!!" NOT the way you speak to customers and if they talk to others the way I heard them tonight they will not keep customers
