I happen to be in the area to visit the marina. As I drove down into Loch Lomond Drive, I noticed Andy’s Local Market. The Market was hosting a live music concert in the outdoor patio and it was just wrapping up. Andy’s bar and BBQ was open.

I went inside to grab a cold non-alcoholic drink, they tons of options to choose from. They had a deli counter, a self serve food counter, coffee bar, and groceries. There were store made, packaged sandwiches and sides. It was a compact grocery store compared to corporate chains. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. The store interior was clean and modern.

I bought a bottled drink and some garlic cheese bread from the self serve counter. We sat outside in the patio overlooking the marina to eat the bread. The crowd dispersed by then. But the bread, as lovely as it looked was hard as granite, beyond even usable for croutons. They went straight into the trash.

Overall great local market. Convenient for visitors to pick up picnic items before heading to the beach or park.

This is one of the nicest lean little community markets I have been to. The deli items are freshly made at the location, the produce section is clean, and the wine section had very educated wine advisors to make recommendations based on your personal preferences and taste. They even have a hopping happy hour. I was surprised to see how it is more of a community gathering place for people of all ages.

My nephew had my husband and I meet him at Andy’s when we were visiting from NC. Great food with many food choices, outdoor seating, wonderful walk around the marina and a little shopping before leaving.
Highly recommended.

A friend and I went to have lunch and the store is lovely. However, my dear friend is elder and uses EBT. And on a fixed income. We found out that the store refuses to take EBT. My poor dear friend felt humiliated, out of place, and excluded... she
was told by the checker she would have to put her items back and shop elsewhere. It made us both very sad and disappointed.
Only the privilege can shop here.

Andy's market is very similar to such grocery stores as Mollie Stone, Nugget, or Sprouts Market. They all sell very healthy products to their customers. And, it makes them to come back again. They are all competitors. However, they are all far away from this location. As a result, it is very difficult to compare which one is actually better. Andy's market is very lucky. It establiched its store in a very coveted place. This location is very unique because next to it, it has one of the largest marinas in the North Bay. In addition to that, a top scale residentual area known as "The Strand" is nearby with numerous of townhomes, and condominiums. Finally, there is a nice place to walk while enjoying gorgeous views of such major attractions as Mt. Tamalpais and Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, and many more. All these said, the question is why in such popular place there is only ONE grocery store. It is true that Andy 's market is very welcoming, clean and have very reasonable prices. Moreover, outside the store, there are few chairs and tables available for the people to have their lunch while overlooking a beautiful view of the harbor.
More choices are always better for us, the people. Any store built in this area would immediately be appreciated by the public. However, when you have at least 2 stores in the same area, people would compare and see for themselves which one is really a true vallue for them. I am fully satisfied with services in this store, the coffee is very delicious by the way; nevertheless, i like a competition that would triger a nice contest among service providers to benefit everyone. I would like to see at least one more grocery store nearby.

I want to give a shout-out to Monica at the deli counter in Andy’s Local Market by Loch Lombard. Monica has been making my sandwiches, and they are consistently delicious, which keeps me coming back. Not only is her sandwich-making top-notch, but her customer service is also outstanding. She’s always so pleasant and a joy to interact with.

Thank you, Andy’s Local Market, for finding someone like Monica. She truly makes a difference. ! By the way, the rest of the team is doing a fantastic job as well!
