I went to the emergency room for severe back pain. Checking in was pretty easy and I did get seen quickly but the medical treatment wasn't quite there. Most of the staff was very friendly but half the time they didn't have information to give me about their findings. I was given fluids for dehydration and morphine for the pain but it made my heart rate spike and they either didn't notice or didn't care. I was shaking uncontrollably almost the entire time I was there but nothing was done about it. The tests did confirm their thought about kidney stones but that didn't explain why I had such a severe reaction to it. I was sent home with meds and given no info about what to do next besides follow up with my primary, didn't know what to expect taking the medication (like why they were prescribing it), etc except that if it got worse, to go back.
Less than 2 days later I had to go back to the emergency room but went to Kaiser instead. Turned out the stone created a blockage and was causing sepsis and kidney failure. They paid close attention to my symptoms, did everything possible to make me comfortable, stop my shaking, and bring down my heart rate.
So I'm not sure if it was because they were having an off day, the time of night, or what but the whole experience felt a bit dismissive. Again, the staff seemed very nice and they spoke politely, it just felt like they weren't paying close enough attention. One weird positive is that they did schedule a follow up with a urologist for me, even though they didnt tell me they would. I got a random call to set a time and date.

Last night my husband needed emergency surgery and so it was so stressful and I was emotional and very scared, upset, worried. Nurse Martika had the worst attitude, she was very rude And smart mouth, unprofessional. The way she treats people and talks to people, she shouldn't even be allowed to be a nurse. At this moment, what I'm going through, that's something I'm not tolerating or letting go. Someone like that should not be able to interact with people much less ones that are sick, in pain, going through hard times. If there was a choice for negative ten I'd have given that. I loved the Dr who I remembered helping me so much for my gallbladder surgery n she was and is AMAZING but that nurse was deplorable

Great staff but security likes to stand their ground like they’re above everyone else. Demanding at the already stressed patients. Understanding that they have rules, they can use a proper approach. We’ve been here for hours waiting patiently watching security escalate situations that didn’t need to be escalated because the person they were demanding was responding respectfully and the security themselves were using a strong and disrespectful approach, as if they were trying to instigate it. We watched a security turn around and say “you better watch your back homeboy” after a conversation with a patiently waiting patient who had to stand in the back due to lack of chairs.

My mom is a Kaiser patient, however due to an emergency she ended up at arrowhead and was under their care for two days then transferred to Kaiser to continue her care. I want to recognize nurse Edgar RN working ED and Danial RN who both provided excellent and caring care to my mother. I’m sorry to say that the care provided by Kaiser RN in Ontario was poor and lacked empathy. Thank you nurses at Arrowhead head for proving such good care to your patients.

If I could give this hospital a negative star I would give it -8. POOOORRRR STAFFING. I do their jobs better than they do themself. My fiancé was in a motorcycle accident against a semi taken here for trauma. The said one of his injuries was a broken pelvis. No update on the pelvis ever until I asked one day and they said “oh it’s actually not broken” not only did they mis diagnose but he suffered a brain injury and they took forever to get any scans done to monitor the brain. He currently has memory loss and instead of doing something to help they just keep putting him on sedation and meds that are worsening his memory. He is Fall risk and they don’t let him get up but don’t restrain him from trying and nobody to watch him. I screamed for the nurse who was sitting on her phone 5 steps away from him and she ignored me until I walked into the hallway to make a big scene. Most of the nurses DONT CARE. They sit around on their phones acting like you bother them with any question and the communication between all nurses SUCK. Can’t even get a simple update on his condition. The only good nurse I encountered here was Jocelyn in the ICU she is heaven sent… do not trust this hospital with your loved ones they pay no attention. He sits in his urine for hoursss even after asking to be changed .

Waiting 5 hrs for a CT scan in the ER another 3 hrs for results besides all this nurses are pretty rude
I told them my husband sugar has to be low by now please check it because he is diabetic. Nurse said he will be back still haven’t shown up and it’s 8 pm we came in at 2 pm

Absolutely the worse ! I just had my 2 year old bust her forehead open. Did not clean her wound.. no after summary of how to properly clean her stitches. Just left her wound open no gauze to help stop the bleeding literally nothing but stares and no help.. i don’t understand how’s this place isn’t closed down for lack of intelligence. Go to school for that amount of time and everyone seems completely dumb !

Hi guys, so I was in the hospital for about 4 days in January and let me tell you guys how horrible I felt being in there. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes from that hospital since I had a glucose of 318mg and staff was great just it took them 3-4 days to figure out what type I was until the last day of getting discharged they said I am T1D. They kept taking out so much blood from me and doing tests to see if the insulin they were running would work on me and let me tell you.. that was a NIGHTMARE! I kept asking the doctors and nurses “what type am I “ and they didn’t know what I had so that gave me a curiosity to get a 2nd opinion so I left the country and saw a endocrinologist and they did blood work on me , studied me and turns out I am type 2 diabetic after getting the news I was in shock. I’m 25 years old and I never had symptoms as a kid nor teenager of diabetes neither does my family have a history of diabetes and until this day my sugars have been controlled without insulin and been changing my lifestyle of eating habits to pursue better health. I would recommend going to Loma Linda if you are a diabetic or see a diabetic endocrinologist if you have symptoms of diabetes.
