I went by to check out the place to see if they have an outdoor tasting area for guests. Not yet but hopefully soon. I bought my favorite wines one Sonoma Zin one red blend from Rutherford. My favorite CA Chardonnay and a Brut Sparkling Wine from Anderson Valley and a Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley. Everything is very well organized and I enjoyed discovering their wines. The staff are excellent and answered my questions about Brut vs other Sparklings/champagnes. I left the wine there because I was on a walk from home and picked it up on my way home. They have a lot of other countries wines too. Maybe next time!

Great folks! Was looking for beer and told me they have some but not cold. Helped me pick out a few. Also needed cigars but told me they were down the street. And that to be honest, they had cold beer also...

So I walked out empty handed but with a smile on my face. Seems like honest people! Toooooooons of wine selection and spirits!

Really great place to come for wine! They know their stuff. Super friendly staff always willing to share knowledge about wines.

We used to come pre-pandemic for the tastings, but they're haven't resumed yet. Wines all the way from 7 to $8 all the way up. Something for everybody!

Don't be afraid of your total newbie, they will definitely help you part with your money...

Artisan has long been my favorite wine store in the bay because of the amazing quality and variety of their selection. But what prompted me to write this review was the phenomenal customer service from David on my most recent trip. I had a goal to learn more about French wine growing regions and wanted to assemble a case within a target budget to help with that goal. Despite the store being busy with multiple tasting events, David enthusiastically leaped up to help with our activity. The thought he put into each recommendation, the explanations he gave of what and why, and how well he met the objective and budget exceeded any expectations I had going in. Just a fantastic experience - David and the team really know their wine and are passionate about helping customers.

A very interesting shop in a old clinic space. Wines are scattered throughout several rooms but are well-organized. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's exactly what I love about independent wine shops.

A sort of "hidden" store because it's not easily noticeable from the street, but you'd be doing yourself a favor if you stopped by and checked them out. They have an excellent selection of wines from all over the world, including some hard-to-find and some very high-end ones. They also have a nice selection of California wines. Nicely organized into separate rooms, for easy browsing. Highly recommended.

Outstanding service and selection. Visited for the first time during a brief trip to Mountain View after calling to confirm that the wine I wanted was in stock. Very friendly and took time recommending and describing other wines so that I could choose an extra, new bottle, which I was very pleased with. Description was perfect. Packaged the bottles so they made it safely home checked in the plane.
