First time in this store. Had some products I was hoping find. Prices are fair enough. Some definitely pricey but sometimes I need those items. Not much in the way of offering soups for customers. It was odd where they placed it. Seemed like an afterthought— maybe not.
It’s very convenient off the I-5. Clean store.
A little disappointed in the employees. Not friendly or offered to assist in any way. I thought that was lack of training or not sure if it’s even a priority… but when we checked out, the lady up at the front was friendly, helpful and showed professional aptitude. I would hope they rethink policy in regard to customer relations…

They've literally got it all!

I got rice noodles for my stir fry,
I replaced the bladder lining to my Turkish sheepskin flask,
I was able to find a few mule teeth for my grandmother's dentures,
A bit of antibiotics for my chickens,
Antique railroad nails for a repair,
The ashes of a Nepalese sage for a cauldron recipe,
Three pounds of beluga whale penis for my smoker,
And a frozen pepperoni pizza for dinner.

They also play Tom Waits and Rob Zombie songs over the intercom during Halloween season.

Interesting co-op type grocery story. Lots of cool hard to get stuff. Doesn't have a bakery or good bakery type options. There are some items it doesn't carry. Often has pan handlers out front.

What an interesting selection of food and other items of interest. You must go there at least once to be initiated into the spirit of Ashland. There is much organic and healthy food. Also bulk items!

I'm a local and was coming here pretty regularly, usually to do a large shopping trip. Last time I was spoken to by the manager as though I was trash. I guess this sort of thing has started to bother me to the point where I've started to write reviews about it. That attitude converted me from a person who spends about 200 dollars a month at this store to someone who will never set foot here again. I was irritated for the rest of the day, too. Why must a store manager be so condescending to me? Was it worth it to you?

Great store - far more than just a well stocked supermarket. It is also a health/natural food store plus emporium. Where else can you get fresh organic vegetables, wines from the world, a Buddha statue, incense and aromatic soaps, salt lamps, flowers, jewelry, canned goods, meat and seafood, pet food, etc. all in one store?

I shop here regularly and have literally spent thousands and thousands of dollars at this store.

I feed my pets raw food that I usually buy at the pet store. I was out of pet food and the pet store was closed, so I drove over to Shop N Kart to get some as I had noticed they carried it also.

Upon getting home from the store I opened up the bag and was hit with a horrific smell. The raw food was totally rancid and unusable. Normally if I have an issue with a grocery product I just let it pass bc it's not worth the hassle of driving back to the store. However this item was $30, so I figured it was worth returning.

I took it back and was met with a worker who had terrible customer service skills and informed me because I didn't have a receipt there was nothing he could do. The item literally has a sticker smack on the front of it that says Shop N Kart and has a barcode. I walked right in with it and directly to the cash register.

I had no idea a receipt was needed, I figured with the shop n kart sticker right on it, the fact that I am a regular shopper and had just recently purchased it, and had the credit card I'd used to purchase it, they would be able to do something (would have been fine with a replacement vs refund), or at the very least apologize.

At the end of each transaction they ask you whether or not you'd like your receipt. I typically decline because I've never needed to return anything and always figured it wouldn't be an issue to bring something back if I did.

I wish someone had clearly stated when offering the receipt that it should be taken and kept in case anything needed to be returned.

At the very least, customer service could be improved. Apologize that the item is rancid and say you wish you could help but it's policy and you're sorry about the inconvenience.

The way stores handle things like this is really really important. It was such an unpleasant experience that I won't be returning there and will just stick with the Coop and Market of Choice. I don't want to continue giving money to a store that treats a regular customer and a serious quality control issue with such disregard.

Best price on blue lotus chai in the country. All natural body care products galore. You’ve got to shop here to see what’s in store.
