Came across an LA Times article recently that there was Burmese food being sold at this market. Not sure why it's difficult to find Burmese food in LA - it's pretty ubiquitous up North. Anyway, decided to check it out on a recent trip to SGV. This review is primarily on my experience with their Burmese food selection & pricing. Generally, the store seemed well kept, clean, mid size with assortment of various Asian goods/grocery, decent parking lot & there was only one cashier (though it was not a busy time). It looked like there was a counter called Asia Food Express advertising Burmese food in addition to sushi, teriyaki & poke bowl. It was not operational when I visited & the cashier couldn't give me any info (probably a language barrier - my Chinese is non existent & she may have been speaking Burmese). She did point me to a cooler/table area where some pre-packaged Burmese food was sold. I found two types of Burmese noodle (Shan noodle salad with a little bit of chicken & rice noodle salad with lots of fried garlic) which seemed prepared fresh to be sold for the day. There was yellow tofu with sauce which is a popular Burmese dish. There was also an assortment of dessert & side dishes (dried shrimp with chili, pickled tea leaves, dried anchovy, etc). There was also bags of fried fritters sold at the cashier. I self helped myself & picked up two of the noodle dishes ($ 9.99 each), dried shrimp with chili ($ 5.99 & $ 9.99), a bag of fritters ($ 10 - I keep it in freezer for future use) and two bags of dessert (similar to cendol, $ 3 each). Enjoyed them when I got home. The food was fresh, tasty & authentic. It was a fun discovery but thought the pricing was on the high side.

Had been to this store few years ago and have been there recently. It is under a new management. The new owners have changed this place for good. Market looks very clean and organized. Love this store now. They have very good quality fresh fruits and vegetables for a very good price. Very helpful and friendly staff . Their sushi section makes great fresh sushi. They have a nice Boba section. Thai tea Boba is my favorite.

You can have Burmese groceries such as tea leaves, dried fish, dried shrimp, Burmese preserved foods, sour leaves, fried fish paste, assorted Burmese curry cans. Overall, it is a great place to shop. You can also have fresh sushi. You can have biriyani on weekend. They have sushi special discount on Friday evening.

Good selection of stuff but not as much variety as the larger stores in the area like H Mart, but the prices are better here! Nice place to grab essentials if this is your local area. It was kind of surprising to see Biryani as a to go meal

This place is THE WORST!!!!! Every time I would shop here I would get home and realize the produce was moldy, or the food was several months past expiration. The staff is exceptionally rude, and not helpful whatsoever. One time I specifically asked the cashier if they changed for cards, she said “no” and then of course they do and it changed me some insanely high percentage. I would have gladly paid in cash, but I specifically asked. Most recently I was out for a long walk and stopped in to buy my small French bulldog a bottle of water. The dog is very small and I put it in one arm as not to bother anyone with it walking on the ground. Some cashier who was outside cleaning followed me in screaming at me, “NO DOG! NO DOG!” I tried to explain I was merely buying one water bottle in the front and would leave in less than a minute. She waved me away with an extremely aggressive attitude. This place has limited options for groceries, most things are vary over priced, everything is past its date/expired, and the rudest staff I have ever encountered anywhere. Just go to 99 Ranch on Atlantic, only a couple minutes away, cleaner, cheaper, nicer staff, and wayyyyy more options.

Amazing selection of international foods. The place seems to be under new management as there seems to have been a major facelift. Clean and friendly. Their fruit selection is amazing and fresh!

No frills asian market with good prices on goods and produce. They also have a good selection of Latin products, like different types of beans. No tortillas though.

A very small grocery store. I barely can find anything I need here. The reason why I came was to find knives. Fruits are cheaper here.
