Wide selections of Filipino grocery items. Receipt upon checkout doesn't show details of your purchases. It only shows "grocery items". The cashier was not that helpful for requesting a detailed receipt.

1 STAR: This is for the fish part of the store. The boys are so reluctant to truly clean the fish even though this is a service they offer! The fishes are also not always fresh. The boys need to learn better customer service.
The store: adequately clean. Great selection of frozen meat (lamb, goatmeat), great selection of Indian spices that are yummy and super spicy. Their plantains are not consistently fresh, but when they are, they are very, very fresh and healthy looking.
Overall, we just go over the Monterey fish market on the pier because they consistently have fresh, caught fish at all times, and they do a great job cleaning the fish and cutting it up for you or the bay area.

A wide variety of items, well organized. Lots of stock, make sure you check the expiration date as some items might be sitting for a while. The fresh vegetables and fruits are a must. Frozen items and noodles, ramen and sauces are always on our list. Rare and unusual candies are on the shelves to choose from. We love the different varieties of KitKat. We come here whenever we're in town. Great place when in need.

The Asian Filipino Market had everything needed for the Sinigang recipe. The lady at the market was super helpful. Walked with me thru the store and made sure i had the correct ingredients needed. WOW! I will be shopping there more often.

Haven’t yet checked out all the Asian markets in the area, but because this one is so close to me AND has a great selection with good prices, I don’t feel compelled to see what the others are like.

UPDATE: THEIR RECEIPTS ARE ITEMIZED NOW! (I noticed on Aug 18, 2024, but they probably had it sooner). Their POS system is updated. No more guessing which item cost what, so ignore all those low reviews based on this SINGLE factor.

Employees are friendly and seem to work hard, too.

We always love our Marina markets but this time was less than pleasant, we came in at 7:10 (their hours say they close at 8) and greeted the cashier warmly, and he responded rudely, “we’re closing soon” which we thought was strange but hurried nonetheless and found that they had blocked off half the isles putting things away so we would feel pressured to leave and we left after five minutes in the store. They started putting all the fruit stands in so we had no choice but to leave. If the store no longer closes at 8, that should be posted and updated so the customer can see that and a little kindness goes a long way
