TRAVELERS BEWARE. DON’T COME HERE, THE OWNER DOESN’T DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS. I’m a food delivery driver that works for various apps and on one of my deliveries I had to pick up from a nearby restaurant on the pier that didn’t have parking available. This market has a parking lot with NO SIGN establishing that you had to pay for parking. My plan was to park the car for 5 minutes MAX while I picked up the food and leave quickly so as to not take up space for two long in consideration of the store. When I came back, an old Asian lady who I assume was the owner was standing beside my car and stuck a sticker on my window saying “unauthorized parking.” I assume this lady was the one who also moved a BARREL behind my car in order to BLOCK MY EXIT. When I tried talking to her, explaining my situation, she rudely cut me off saying that she didn’t care what I was doing and to basically pay her TEN DOLLARS in order to let me off or else she would call the tow truck on me. I was exhausted and didn’t want to fight, not when I was so close to finishing my day, so I gave her a ten in cash that a kind customer graciously gave me earlier in the day as a tip. As I was leaving, I saw A COP CAR PULLING UP AS I WAS LEAVING. I can only assume that she CALLED THE COPS ON ME BEFORE I SHOWED UP IN ORDER TO TICKET MY CAR. Luckily I left before they figured out what was going on but I wouldn’t be surprised if she took pictures of my plates and showed them to the cops DESPITE SCAMMING ME OF $10. After reading the other reviews, I can only come to the conclusion that this woman has no moral compass and I genuinely wish all her bad actions come back to bite her eventually.

I love this market! Fully stocked, squeaky clean, lots of different alcohol selections. They have everything you could want, from limes, lemons, excellent wine bottle prices, and beer. Good prices, too! They even sell beach chairs!! The employees are friendly, funny, and helpful. Support your local Hermosa Beach market.

Not sure why this has such low reviews but the market had exactly what we needed. Ball clippers, water and snacks. Yes it’s expensive but it’s right next to the beach.

Ive been coming here for years, its a min walk from my apt. There was an older asian lady working there and retired a few years ago. She was very nice and pleasant. Since the older lady reitred, the owner started working somedays. She is horrible. When I come in to buy lotto or anything I get this look from her where she is disgusted. This one time I bought my tickets she wouldnt hand it to me. As I reached out to take it from her hands she throws it as if I was filthy. Another time I won $100 from one of the tickets and she wouldn't cash it. I bought the ticket from their store too. I try to avoid coming here as much as possible now.

I went in there today to purchase a few things for a family barbecue and was met with a very unpleasant experience. I asked the Asian lady behind the counter (who I think may be the owner) for a bit of hand sanitizer and was met unexpectedly with "WHAT?" very brash and rudely as if I was asking for something crazy. I then repeated myself and she proceeded to WITHHOLD the sanitizer from me until I said "please", stating I wasn't entitled to it so I decided to not give her my business. She then muttered "whatever" as I was leaving. Just a terrible experience, and on top of that the place is unclean and not well organized. I will be avoiding the store from now on.

bitter experience there. I am an UBER driver, I decided to stop in that place to wait for an order, when I had parked for about 30 seconds, a lady came out making a racial attack, and she asked me to leave the place. I guess it's not normal for the lady to see a Latino in this area. Lovers of equality, this type of behavior in business owners should not be tolerated

Came in to turn in a scratcher on Sunday morning and the employee was so rude I left. He then followed me out and was almost threaten me. This was Sunday morning 14th of May. Will never go there again. Ever. It does not rate a 1, maybe negative 10 or worse . Very expensive also.
