Really unfriendly staff. My 73 year old mother and I came in, well dressed, and proceeded to shop. My mother asked to use the restroom and they told her to go across the street to McDonald's. Sandal Factory and other stores around provide customer restrooms. A young boy watched me the entire time I shopped, making me very uncomfortable. It was clear he thought I was going to steal. I had a lot of clothing to try on. I ended up spending about $200 because I really wanted the clothing. But I don't think the store deserved our patronage. The elderly woman at the counter was so unfriendly and couldn't make eye contact ringing us up. My mom is super sweet and tried to be friendly. We have no desire to steal from you! You are obnoxiously rude and you're lucky we decided to shop there and wanted the clothing and spent the money. You need to do some serious brushing up on customer service. It's inexcusable to make people, especially people with plenty of money to spend, feel that unwelcome.

Very rude and hostile staff. Came here on a Rainey day to let the girls shop. My wife went to throw away her coffee cup and the older staff worker ran over and yelled you can’t throw the cup in their trash can. My 21 year old try to calm the situation down by asking, “oh ok what trash can should we use”. The Karen. Went on a yelling tangent about tourist throwing way their trash in the store and they have to take out the trash. The yelling rant was so out of place. I would understand some frustration if the cup was maybe left on the counter, but for trying to dispose of trash is crazy. Won’t spend a time here or would highly recommend trying another shop. There are many around.

A neat place to visit when beachn'it at #AtlanticbeachNC great selection of stuff for the vacationer. Picked up a new #skimboard and #flops while vacationing. The staff did ask if we needed assistance. A must visit while vacationing!

We stopped in here looking for sandals for the family. They had a great selection and sizes for the whole family, even gave us a discount on one pair because they were discontinued! we’ll definitely stop by again!

I bought a beach chair yesterday and used it for the first time today. The arm broke as soon as I put some pressure on it. I took it back and they were so nice and helpful! Evidently, the wood on the arm was cut wrong going against the grain. I just wanted to let others know that this was great customer service. It is so important to me and greatly appreciated.

All I can say about this shop is that I liked their clothes. The staff their sucked! Absolutely no customer service! They just stood at the register. I had about $500 worth of merchandise in my hands with my husband and asked to try on a couple swim suites, they told me no! Because I already had one on, said it was their policy... I said but we haven't gone to beach yet, they told me it didn't matter. My husband said well I guess your store doesn't want my money then and we left. We have lived here for 2 years, we are not tourist, but I will spread the word not to go to this shop ever!

I’ve been going to Bert’s for years but I have to say this particular Bert’s has bad management. I was very disappointed in my experience and will not be returning to this shop.

Purchased my first skim board here! Got a beginner's board for a decent price of $36 with free wax. Plenty of surf boards and skim boards, I wish there was a better selection of the beginner skim boards thou. Great price on stickers and a huge selection too, lots of cool t-shirts which are decently priced as well.

I was assisted by staff who was able to answer my questions, homie was even in crutches and came over to help me 👏
