We were delighted to stumble across this cafe. We enjoyed seeing the quilts and pictures on the wall. The serving sizes are very generous. The menu says Colossal Salad, and it doesn't lie! Good was delicious, server was friendly. I would go back again if I am in the area.

Excellent breakfast! Service was super friendly. On our way from Dubois to South Dakota, this was a perfect place to fill up for our trip. I had a breakfast taco & American fries/potatoes & my husband had a breakfast burrito. I ordered one pancake & thought it would be a small pancake! My eyes were surprised when the waitress brought it & it was the size of the plate & almost an inch thick, and fluffy! I can never get my pancakes to do that ! 😂

Taking a road trip to Yellowstone we have had an array of food experiences. The Black Bear was a highlight as the food was ready fast and was served with a friendly vibe. the kiddos got a chocolate chip pancake with strawberries on top served with eggs and bacon. The pancake was the size of a hubcap and the eggs were fantastic. The atmosphere was cozy,and there were lots of bear decorations. I definitely recommend coming here!

Stopped in to eat here before heading into the state park. We had the absolute best service! All the workers were so friendly and helpful. Even the other customers were great (we had our wild little girl with us). The French toast was great and the smothered pork burrito was even better (loved the pork and the green chili sauce on top). And the chocolate malt was wonderful! Next time will have to try the cinnamon rolls too. Excellent stop!

An utterly delightful place to enjoy a meal with friends or family, especially during the warm weather months when you can be seated at one of several outdoor tables.
The food is very tasty and plentiful. My party enjoyed a couple different breakfast burritos and the green chili which has a wonderful flavor akin to the best of the New Mexico green chili’s but needing just a slight more heat. Also the onion rings were light, crisp and yummy.

Great small restaurant downtown. I got the 2 biscuits with sausage gravy, 2 scrambled eggs, home fries, and a side of bacon. Bacon was great and home fries are made from scratch.

Guessing it's the local "go to" for breakfast. Really good, hearty breakfast and the staff was delightful. We will definitely visit them again !

Seriously the most excellent breakfast in the state. Lovely bacon well cooked, home made fries and eggs. Just perfect and very reasonably priced
If you get the chance this is a wonderful place to dine.
