The atmosphere here is great and they have a good selection. Price wise though they're all over the place. You can find some great deals. Other items are priced the same as brand new. Nice that you can use trade but just make sure you check prices before you buy. I'll pay more to support local but I'm not paying more for a used item than a new one. The staff here is pretty great though.

For a used store they are really expensive. I thought it would be cool to pick up a strategy guide, and they wanted more than they cost new! Xbox 360 power cords were 40 dollars! The books at least are still cheaper than what they cost new but that should be a given. I guess really the major draw as if you're selling your stuff there and for trade then you can get a deal because you can use your trade to pay for the items otherwise you might want to just buy the stuff new for the midt part.

In all my years visiting Tucson and going to the Tucson mall. I have never been to this particular Bookmans. Till today. Walked out a couple hundred bucks lighter, however, much worth the $ spent. Ample parking, walking distance to Tucson mall & other venues. Well organized and typical Bookmans layout. Friendly staff. Despite basically everything behind glass (thanks to your friendly neighborhood five finger bandits) it's no hassle to get someone to grab whatever you need. Some things are a bit over priced, however, plenty of reasonably priced items to select from. Excellent location to find retro games, vinyl (yes, I said LPs, like the good stuff DJs used to spin a wheel to). If your looking to trade, sell, or buy, this is the place for you.

Great place to trade in video games and dvd’s. The staff here is kind, prompt, and friendly. There’s a decent sized children’s section as well as restrooms in the back left corner of the store. Just wish there were more trinkets and cute things within the bookshelves throughout the store! Love this place!

Sometimes I'm there to buy things, sometimes I'm there to sell things, but either way it's always a good time. Their banned books section is really cool and they always have a lot of unique collectibles if you're looking to expand your collections. I have nothing negative to say, everyone here is always really nice and helpful. When I was in art school sometimes I would come here to use their wifi and flip through books on art and lgbtq+ literature to study and find inspiration. No one ever made me feel like I was weird or like I needed to leave.

Bookman's has been a favorite "go to" for decades. However, some of the staff at the new River/Stone store do not deliver the friendliness, interest and customer service that was typical of Bookman's since it was first founded.
I left a bag behind by accident after trading in goods and purchasing a gift certificate. When I called in, I was told it would be up front for me. I walked into the store today heading to the front and was gestapo-like-stopped by a young woman whose gruff "greeting," rather than "hello" or "welcome" was to loudly and sternly tell me what I "had" to do rather than go directly to the front desk which I was told to do when I called in. She didn't even know why I was there. Then, the woman behind the front desk neither smiled nor was one bit friendly when I told her why I was there. When she could not find the bag, without saying "tough luck" out loud, she communicated it with her response and body language. In contrast, the day before, I was met and felt welcome by the man behind the trade counter as well as the gentleman at the register. I'm hoping that Bookman's can do better staff selection or extra customer service to help folks deal well with the public....especially during the stressful world with which we are all dealing. No one wants to go into a safe space like a bookstore and be treated poorly.

What an interesting book store. I love it because they have instruments. it's like the one place you can go and just see people walking around and looking at stuff. It's very interesting everyone has to wear a mask and they have sanitizer everywhere. The staff is very quirky. they have hired many people so it's pretty easy to find help. I tried to take pictures to showcase how cool the store is it's an experience I never knew. This place is a must-see I personally think I'm just going to go hang out their weekly. I was actually able to find a map of Arizona but I did get the Last one. It's so hard to find Maps these days. We better get some books before they disappear. Go check this place out they have a lot of stuff for kids to. Stay safe everyone and stay clean
