This morning at boyers I just witnessed unprofessionalism & racism for the first time since I been here which is 5 months. I went to do some quick grocery shopping for the week & I needed something to carry the heavy stuff in so I bought a book bag with me. I walked into boyers, went to the atm got some money out , than proceeeded to purchase cigarettes. After that I start my shopping I’m going thru aisles looking & shopping as soon as I get by the milk & juices I get stopped by an older white gentleman & hes telling you can’t have a book bag you half to check it in at the front because of the kids etc. I tell the man that I’m not a child & I just moved here I did not know that I had to do that nobody said anything to me I been in the store for over 30 mins already. I told him walk with me I’ll check it in he said your ok this time than walked away. As I proceed to continue shopping an older white lady which I noticed after I bought my cigarettes was watching me & it seemed very odd, this lady walks around the corner & tells the man yes I seen him walking in & out the aisles grabbing items. At the moment I clearly thought it’s because I’m black…. I got upset at this point I didn’t want to shop here anymore. I paid for my groceries & left. I will return to file a complaint but I know boyers won’t do anything smh

The manager Amy who I spoke with about my problem was very unprofessional, even after I told her that what I needed to get of mine was there, she kept insisting that she was right and saying there was nothing there when we both knew she was wrong and just didn't want to check . I was very upset n humiliated about the whole ordeal with Amy, how can a manager behave this way?She had attitude for no reason, like I interrupted her day. What about.... " the customer is always right" . I will never shop at the Boyers ever again

Absolutely horrible ! Sold rotten fruit and have previously sold expired food to my client. I showed them my a picture of the receipt and the picture of the fruit they refused to do anything about it because it wasn't the paper receipt for a five dollar fruit that was cutt open not even an hour later and rotten i called them when it happened they said take a picture shownus when ur here again. The customer service there is absolute trash I would of given it a zero if I could. Highly recommend going out of the way to go to the boyers in pottsville or schuylkill haven before ever going to this one .

Boyer's is a medium to large size grocery store located in Mt. Carmel. They always have a nice selection of fruits and vegetables, as well as beef, pork, chicken, and other proteins. The bakery department is very good offering everything from doughnuts and pastries ti personal sized and sheet cakes in a number of different flavors. It is always well staffed with knowledgeable and helpful employees. Clean and well lit. Easy to find products. Good sales each week. There is also an ample parking lot. Usually make multiple stops a week.

Just went in for a few things to get cash back I did two separate orders so I could get $110 back and the older cashier at register 1 got mad and gave me attitude bc she didn’t have enough money in her register!

Wow....very. Impressed by this home town market. I got hot bar roast beef and swiss sandwich for $3.00 then I found the deal of the century as Porterhouse steaks were just $6.99 a pound. They were amazing. I highly recommend this awesome little market as it honest and just feels right!
