Went in for new ski boots, Mike spent time helping me try on 3 different pairs. The first pair he suggested actually ended up being the pair I bought, even after comparing directly against each of the other two. Discussion also yielded lots of insights/advice for trying to find something workable for my husband's massively wide feet.
Skied in my new boots all morning and they are great so far! Mike assured me if I need any fine-tuning of the fit (heat molding, punching, etc) I just have to come back and ask!
I will definitely visit again for future gear needs, especially the tent sale in October that he recommended.

I recently shopped at Buckman’s for new boots and skis/bindings. Dave listened to my needs and spent so much time trying on various boots and assessing the fit. He also gave me so much advice on getting a great fit at the mountain. He then helped me pick skis and bindings based on my skill set and preferences. I have skied twice on them and am so pleased with my new gear. When you shop at Buckman’s, you don’t get a salesperson- you get a ski advocate who truly cares about your needs. Getting back into skiing after a 20 year hiatus is a daunting task, because so much has changed. I wanted new skis, boots, and a helmet, and Mark at the Montgomeryville location made it super easy for me. He answered every question I had (like 100-125 of them), and was so patient with me. We spent a good chunk of time together getting evrything perfect. Looking forward to picking up my new skis after the bindings get mounted ASAP!! Can't wait! Thank you, Mark!

Great store, friendly/knowledgeable/attentive staff, would 10/10 recommend to a friend.
I went to Buckman's on a whim with my wife. She had bought me a cross-country ski outfit from REI (skis and boots) in which the boots would not mount in the ski bindings (touring binding/ back-country boot). We took them back to REI, but they could not replace the bindings as they were permanently mounted to the skis. So I put them back in the truck.
Skip forward a week and we're out for a drive. There was snow on the ground and I thought of the skis. My wife searched CC ski shops and Buckman's was closest, so off we went. The first thing I noticed was how attentive the staff was; they were eager to help and non-condescending (I'm a newb at this sport). The man we spoke with was very knowledgeable, looked at the skis and boots and showed us the issue. We decided to buy new skis, so he took us upstairs and showed up the set we would eventually buy (they had a more " universal" set of bindings. Seamless transaction.
Two days later I was going to go skiing, but thought I'd better be 100% sure bindings fit the boot...they did not. Bummer. I called Buckman's, explained, and they said to come back with three skis. When I arrived, someone was immediately available and we went back upstairs where a highly respected member of the staff helped. He looked at the issue and was surprised the new skis/bindings didn't fit. He said he'd call his other stores for a possible solution. Ultimately, there wasn't one and they took the skis back for a refund. Again, seamless transaction.
I realize this story is long, but I wrote it because I wanted to give context to: great store, friendly/knowledgeable/attentive staff, would 10/10 recommend to a friend.

Super friendly and helpful employees! They got our family of 6 set with ski gear last weekend. Bonus we saved $$$ by renting here instead of ski resort. We were also able to purchase a few last minute necessities (like kid socks) before skiing. I can see why many of my friends recommended.
