Cafe Luna, in Pleasant Gap, PA is a stone’s throw off interstate 99. We were searching for a coffee house but found so much more. The home-made soups were authentically Eastern European, the coffee good, but the variety of well crafted pastries and cakes was simply heavenly. We dined in and even took some delicately layered cakes for our journey. What a surprise, worth going out of the way for!!!

I stopped in with my family while on a road trip and got the BEST vegetarian borscht that I've ever had. They also have the most delicious stuffed pastries that they serve hot if you're dining in. We got the spinach and cheese pastry and also a mashed potato and mushroom pastry. One stuffed pastry is a nice size for a light lunch, especially with a cup of borscht, but we loved the pastries so much that we got some to go, too!

My only regret is that this wonderful cafe is so far from home!

We were visiting here and I wanted to try something new and this place was perfect. If you love pastries like I do be sure to check this place. The owners are very kind and welcoming.

I had the ff:
Potato and Mushroom Borek Bites - I’m not a big fan of mushrooms but this one is really good. You can see the mushrooms and taste it but it’s doesn’t have that super mushroomy flavor that I don’t like. It was actually good!

Baked Chicken Turnover - This was my fav! I love turnovers and this one is just perfect for me. The chicken was flavorful and they served it perfectly warm (not too hot inside).

Baklava - There wasn’t a lot of filling, it was more of dough. I would give this 3.5/5 since I had a really good one somewhere else last night to compare with 😊. This is a bigger size though.

Coffee- perfect!

I would love to try all the food if I could 😂

Lastly it was a bit chilly inside. I didn’t bring my coat inside thinking it will be warmer. I first sat on the bar stools but got so cold so I moved. It was more of when people open the door but I wish there’s more heat inside.

Overall, highly recommended and will surely be back when we visit here again.

Stopped by for deserts and pistachio cake is fantastic, best ever I tasted and Honey cake is on point, pistachio is a 5*. Both are very light and not too sweet. Definitely going to be to visit more and recommend to my friends. Wish they make cake in 6’ and 8’ too.

This place was so excellent! The woman working (the owner I assume) was so friendly and sweet. We got the cheese boat, potato and mushroom borek, chicken turnover, two baklava, two coffees, and the honey walnut cake all for just $30!! And it was all so delicious. The cheese boat is a must-try, so yummy and savory. The sweets are so balanced, all very light and not too sweet. The cafe itself was very clean and in a nice location. Definitely worth stopping in, I’ll definitely be coming back!

Cute little family run cafe serving Eastern European food. Three of us ate lunch here on a Tuesday. Not crowded, but ordering was cumbersome and confusing. Prices are good, with entrees around $10 plus add-ons. The cheese boat with egg was very good, nice and cheesy. Need to add flavors though, so be sure to add on spinach or other goodies. Borscht sells out fast, so go early if you want this. Dumpling soup was tasty. Puff pastry with cheese a bit bland, recommend spinach cheese bites instead. Oddly, they don't serve a glass of ice water. If you want water, you must buy a bottle. All in all, a tasty lunch, and food I don't get the opportunity to eat every day.
