This is an excellent coffee shop in the beautiful city of Monterey!! The vibes are great! It is busy but has lots of seating, and the employees are very kind, patient and helpful. The drinks are also excellent! We loved their roast of the espresso beans. This is such a great cafe; give them a shot!!

Had a cereal bowl and mocha latte with macadamia nut milk. The cereal bowl was a nice touch as I love cereal and there are barely any places that offer it. The mocha latte was one of the best I have had in a while!

There is a reason why this place has a line out the door in the mornings! Avocado toast was the best I had in the area! Coffee was really good too. They’re so popular. I wish they had more tables and places to sit, but we lucked out and got a table of our own! I also got the feeling that it’s a locals favorite as well as there is a long table in the middle and people were working on their laptops inside.Really great!

Amazing little coffee shop, if only this was the chain instead of the mega chain we all know. Coffee was amazing and their espresso paired with sparkling water is perfect! The sweets are locally prepared by other shops and the coffee cake was perfectly sweet(not a lot unlike.

Coffee was good, but this place gets my 5 stars for the pastries! Ham and cheese pastry and the sammy were great. And this other pastry in the picture that looks like crème brûlée is soo good we came back and I got 2!

Barista was kind, patient (3 year old asking for pastry while ordering) and the place was an cozy, beach vibe oasis. Think starbucks vibes from 25 years ago but better.

This is California coffee through and through! Captain and Stoker is exactly my kind of vibe where the cafe is in kind of a garage, people line up with their dogs on the sidewalk, and you see groups of people just hanging out enjoying the day and sipping on coffee. That’s exactly the atmosphere I walked into here and was thrilled!

Very ideally situated in downtown Monterey and walkable from other big shops. The baristas here are super friendly and the coffee has a very fresh third wave taste. Make sure to give them a try!
