I dropped off my cow elk with Cody. Cody immediately had a horrible attitude and was actively being as rude as one could manage to myself and my hunting partner.
No big deal, we all have bad days. I returned a few weeks later to pickup my meat, not holding a grudge. When I returned home and was loading the meat into my freezer, I noticed that I only had one tenderloin package, and it was about the size of a small deer tenderloin. I opened the package today and confirmed that this is not my tenderloin. I was robbed of several pounds of the best meat on the animal and I could not possibly be more angry and frustrated with Carls Custom Meats. Theft is not okay. The company has failed to reach back out and reconcile this issue. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

My meat processor for the last 10 years paseed away, so i called around to some friends, they all reccomended Carl. I called Carl, he said he had room so I drove and dropped my deer off. Carl was super nice, and thorough, he asked how many people were in my family So he could guage how many Steaks to put in a package. He asked what I wanted for cuts. He does the normal stuff. Steaks, ground, jerkey, roasts, but also made me some chorizo. He also does slim Jim's! He has 3 flavors. I opted for the green chili slim jims. I did 5 lbs. I wish I did 30lbs. They are absolutely incredible. Next deer I get, I'll get his chedder jalapenio slim Jim's and try those. The cuts are perfect, and the meat is super well packaged. I can say Carl is my new meat guy 100% for any animal I harvest. Thanks again Carl! Your the real deal.

1st time using. Butchered 2 elk for me. Had summer sausages, breakfast sausage, couple flavors brats, etc made and all FANTASTIC. Customer friendly, comparable pricing. Overall was very happy. Would and will recommend.

Carl and his team went above and beyond for my two kids who harvested this year we couldn't be any happier with them. Packaging, speed, friendliness etc. Oh and there breakfast sausage is amazing

They were great, fast, efficient and honest! They called me a week after my initial pickup and advised a box of my meat slipped through the cracks. The woman who called was apologetic and offered solutions. Honesty and professionalism goes a long ways. They nailed it!

+JMJ Friday 17 November 2023. Though familiar with this butcher shop for quite a number of years, I never had an opportunity to go inside. I was there mostly to settle a business deal with the owner, Carl Daniel's. Was offered a warm welcome by the receptionist who listened attentively to my explanation for being there. After a moment, she was able to let me know that Mr Daniel's would be available after working on a meat order. Their wait area is small but very comfortable with a table and a few fur covered tall chairs. Also, there are several signs posted, which I found factual but comical. Upon Mr Daniel's appearance, we completed our business transaction, and I departed. Must say that because of the business nature of Carl's Custom Meats, it is improbable that I would use their services: bringing in something I hunted to be butchered. But, I can recommend them for their dedication to their duties and for the professional manner of taking care of financial matters.

It's not often that you get Drawn in Arizona and not very often you leave a hunt successful so you want to get the best with what you get and at Carl's you get the best. I took my Deer to Carl's for the first time a little skeptical because I have had such bad service in the past other places with bone fragments and hair left on the meat. The customer service was amazing met Carl and he was super cool and told me about my options and new recipes that I had to try that he makes. Although they were super busy they took no time at all to process my deer and get it back to me. I have only opened half of my packages but everything has been amazing so far good summer sausage, Jalapeñ cheddar slim Jim's, italian sausage and breakfast. I will always go to Carl's and I will always recommend them from now on. My only regret is I didn't get a bigger deer to try more of his options
