I was amazed at the professionalism at the Murrieta CarMax dealership. Especially the salesman Philip and the two finance ladies who handled the cash transaction and documents! I will never go to any other dealership but the Murrieta one. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a fair and stress-free auto purchase.

Even though I see a couple issues from buyers on these reviews, CarMax will fix anything within a certain timeframe but you must take it in quickly after purchase. No car dealership I've been to has had THAT good of a policy.

I just bought this car Dec 16 and already have multiple issues. They offer to repair things when you purchase it but they push to get the car off the lot to start the 10 day cycle while promising to have the service team schedule the repairs. I recommend you have them fix things before the actual purchase because their service team is unreliable. They claim to do a “128 point inspection” but I had found very visible issues with the visor and upper console which the salesperson claimed they would replace. They did not replace it, but instead fixed it which is fine, but the salesperson shouldn’t make false promises. Also remember to ask for a second key. Apparently not all cars have two keys and they won’t tell you until the purchase is done. The salesperson also promised the service team would place a front license plate bracket, which they didn’t and then I learned the salesperson never even instructed them to. Another issue is that they make it seem like the repairs can be done right away but that’s not the case. The service team didn’t even have an appointment until a week later and took too long to start on the car so it wasn’t even ready in time for me. 12 days with the car and I already got a maintenance light showing up on my dashboard. So I’m not confident their inspections are done with quality. I’ve been disappointed and tried to reach out to the salesperson multiple times with no response.

This is by far the EASIEST and fastest place to purchase your new car. I started online and did the express pick up. In total it took a little over an hour for the entire process. However, I ended up returning the car and the return was just as easy! Customer service was excellent! Thank you Josh, Oscar, Tony and Keanu!

My wife and I made an appointment at 2:30 on Sunday to go look at a handful of cars as we saw on their website.

After arriving we were told there were a couple of people ahead of us. We waited 30 minutes and no one had come to help us. Upon going to the desk, we were told there was still two people ahead of us.

When you make an appointment, you should be able to fulfill the appointment with a reasonable amount of time. 30 minutes is not a reasonable amount of time. We left and have no plans of returning. They have lost our business.

I can’t say enough great things about my shopping experience at Carmax. It was one of the easiest and smoothest car shopping experiences. The financing process was very easy and such a breeze. We didn’t feel pressured to have to leave a lot with the car. Also, a huge thank you to Rich who was the sales rep who helped us. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a car go and look for Rich. He was very helpful. Very easy-going. Great customer service. We are very much thoroughly enjoying our new family car that we very much needed. Thank you to CarMax to Rich And all of the staff who assisted us in this process I’ve been telling everybody I know about my shopping experience and recommending Carmax.

I found the RAM on the CarMax website and was very interested. I studied the photos, read the descriptions, checked out the financing (they beat my credit union interest rate), and bought the truck all in about an hour. I drove to the dealer the next day, went for a test drive and signed the papers. How much more simple could it be? Everyone I dealt with was so friendly, helpful and courteous. This is the only way to buy a truck. Thanks CarMax!

OUT IN A FLASH! I was super nervous giving CarMax a try as I hate car lots. However, I never felt like people were trying to haggle with me and I didn’t feel pressure to buy. I had a vehicle transferred over from another CarMax lot and the vehicle came as it was pictured! My family and I took it for a test drive (without the CarMax associate!) and it was a good fit. The APR wasn’t extremely high like some other places and they worked with me! The facility is pretty calm, very quiet. The sales building is very spacious with PLENTY of seating. There’s a waiting room and a couple vending machines. The lot itself is HUGE, there’s plenty of cars for perusal. It’s a little hard to find CarMax as they’re sort of hidden by the freeway off of Madison and it’s deep in the back. There’s an internal maintenance/rental CarMax area in the front and behind it is the sales lot along with the services garage. Overall, I’ll be returning as I got what I wanted and there’s some solid services like MaxCare (covers services like engine, AC going out etc.) and Gap Insurance (in case your car gets totaled, you don’t pay). I won’t give CarMax a five as some of the staff seemed too disengaged and moody. It was a little awkward. Oh well, I prefer that than them breathing down my neck lol.
