A great little shop for anyone who loves books and supporting independent bookstores. They sell a mix of new & used books. The selection of books feels curated (I’m guessing to the taste of the owners) and they have a lot of different genres to peruse. History, art, philosophy, folklore & mythology, nature, gardening, children’s, poetry, etc…

Honestly it’s an introverts dream, you will not be forced to make small talk or get sucked into conversation. It’s a great spot to quietly browse and check out unique books for your personal education or enjoyment or to add your collection. You do you.

I easily find interesting titles every time I visit. Be prepared to slow down, there’s a lot to look at and checkout takes some time because they keep a written log of each book as it is sold.

I feel like the shop has been set up to support intentional purchases rather than trying to influence costumers into making as many purchases as possible. I say this because they have such a good selection and I’ve noticed that they price every book individually.

It’s refreshing to find a space that isn’t trying to market to you and just sells one thing: books.

Owner woman is very rude.Never been to a bookstore where the staff arnt friendly! Large selection of books in a good spot in town but their prices are high.If their prices were half what they are Id probably end up spending more here overall.Supporting local bookstores is great but a shame how this place is. Very potent cigarette/moldy smell in the store. Prices are a dollar or a few on average below the original price. Find a book you like and just buy it new elsewhere.

This was a fabulous bookstore! While they had books from every genre they definitely focus on mystery crimes and thrillers in the entire back section of the bookstore! It was loads of fun to go through new and ancient tomes of books that I've Loved or no I will love. If you're a book lover this is a must stop book store.

A little overpriced but mainly the woman who runs the store is not friendly at all. I’ve been here multiple times and she’s never greeted me, but I often hear her greet other guests and I’m left wondering if it’s a race thing. I still go to support small bookstores, but it’s a shame the owner sucks. Also, the cigarette smell is very strong and unpleasant. I can’t stay long because of it.

I rarely leave reviews unless I have an exceptionally positive or disappointingly negative experience. Unfortunately, this is one of those instances where I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction.

As a local, I strive to support small businesses, and I have purchased from this bookstore before. While I previously noticed the lingering scent of smoke, I overlooked it since the books themselves did not retain the odor. Despite having the convenience of ordering online or shopping at Barnes & Noble, I appreciate the charm and ambiance of an independent bookstore.

With some free time on my hands, I decided to visit and spend a short while reading. I politely inquired whether I could sit and read a book for 20 minutes, to which the owner curtly responded, “No, this is a bookstore, not a library. I am not waiting on anybody.” While I respect store policies, it was the dismissive and unprofessional tone that left a lasting impression. I understood when I asked it was likely a shot in the dark. I also intended to buy the book no matter what as I know many people wear books and that this is a STORE. But despite that a simple “no I’m so sorry ” would’ve sufficed . In an effort to alleviate any concerns, I even expressed my intention to purchase the book in advance, only to be met with another brusque remark: “I can’t stop you from doing that but I’m not going to have you buy a book to just read it here. You’re more than welcome to read the first chapter and that’s it.”

At no point was I anything but polite, yet I was made to feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The lack of basic courtesy was disheartening, especially in a business that relies on community support. Ultimately, I chose to walk out without making a purchase. This bookstore has great potential, but the owner’s attitude has made me regret visiting.

A great selection of books - I’ve not been to a bookstore (new OR secondhand) that had so many Agatha Christie novels. Also a number of Lee Child, Michael Crichton, and Clive Cussler.

Pricing is at or slightly above other secondhand bookstores I’ve been to (I didn’t see a single hardcover for under $12, no matter how obscure).

It’s well organized and absolutely worth a trip for the book lover.

I feel like 1 star is doing it more justice than necessary. I'm an avid book enjoyer and I went here to enjoy my time looking for new material. But I was met with a sour owner who treats her customers in an awful manner. I do not recommend coming here unless you want to treated like a child.
