They brought my hair back from the dead! Also nice to shop the consignment side of the boutique while I’m waiting for my boyfriend to finish his hair cut. My only complaint, why are some of the cutest clothes always an extra small?!?!? JK. But no joke, you’d never guess that the clothes are gently used because they launder EVERYTHING so it doesn’t carry the usual smell that comes with other consignment/thrift stores. My OCD-self approves!

I highly recommend J if you are looking for a stylist who is skilled, professional, and cares about her clients. She builds relationships and educates clients to ensure you will be happy with your hair and be able to maintain it in between appointments.

This was my first visit to Catch 22 and it was great! I went for a haircut based on the positive reviews of J, and she certainly has earned all the praise she’s received. We discussed the style I wanted in detail and any adjustments that might be needed. Thankfully she said the cut I’d picked out would well suite my hair type, and she even showed me how best to style it once we finished! She assured adjustments if needed which I also really appreciate.
J was very friendly and easy to talk to; I felt very at ease even though I’m a bit of a shy person. I will definitely have to come back and do some shopping. I only had time for a quick browse but there’s so many beautiful vintage pieces there that I’d love to look at more.
For hair/salon services, make sure to try and schedule an appointment well ahead of time as J can get booked up quickly.

I’ve been coming to Catch 22 since 2006, Jemmelee is by far the most talented hairstylist I’ve ever had . Recently when her shop closed for relocation I had to see another hairstylist to cut my hair . I was anxious because no one else has ever touched my hair . Well , of course I wasn’t impressed and happy with the lady who cut it and how she cut it. It just didn’t look the same as how Jemmelee cuts it. Jem makes my hair look shiny and layers always comes out beautifully . I highly recommend and only trust Jemmelee with my hair . Thank you for your talent and great service !

I am SO glad I decided to check out this salon after having a bad experience with the last place I went. I was able to get an appointment with J and she treated me so well- it was the perfect balance of listening to my goals and preferences for my hair and offering some helpful advice or suggestions. She did a careful and beautiful job cutting my hair and checking her work to make sure it looked great when I walked out the door. In addition to the great haircut, she was friendly and kind.
The boutique looks awesome, too, and I didn't have time to look when I went in for my appointment, but I'm looking forward to checking it out!

Let me start by saying that I am so happy that I walk into this Boutique. Not only is it a lovely boutique, but also a beauty salon! I walk in and notice the salon in the back, and instantly caught my eye because I’ve been on the market for a new hair stylist. This place is very nice, cozy, smells good, and it made me feel so welcomed.
I Met J (the owner) and we started talking and asked for a hair consultation. Made an appointment for today and here I am just so happy loving how my hair looks and feels, and I also got my eyebrows cleaned up. J, thank you for your hospitality and for giving me the knowledge of how to take care of my hair. I am so happy to have found this place in my community. I definitely found my new hair stylist and I’ll be seeing her soon.

We are visiting from Canada and walked into the boutique and salon today. My daughter tried on some clothes and bought a dress she is really happy with. I asked them about a straightening treatment for my hair. We made arrangments for Naomi to do it . I spent 3 bours with her. Had a lovely time and my hair looks great!. Made another appointment for my DIL to get her hair cut on Friday. So glad we walked in! Catch 22 will be my 'go to' salon when I visit my family in San Bruno.

Let me just say that Jay, the owner is super sweet and extremely professional, not to mention very supportive when it came to my daughter’s hair needs. Both Jay and Naomi went above and beyond to give my daughter (and I) the best 1st time salon experience of a lifetime. Catch 22 will forever be our go to place from here on out and I look forward to my time in the salon chair. I was beyond satisfied with not just the services provided, but also with the products for both my daughter and I to use at home. Truly the best one stop shop!
