Great location, easy walk to center of town. Lovely decor to the whole place. Although not a lot of space in the room, it was filled with interesting and unique furnishings and lovely aesthetic touches, as was the common area where breakfast was served. Great hot pool and swimming pool. Robes were even provided in the room. It was quite quiet at night (apart from neighbor's brief shower) and didn't hear any talking or noise from other rooms or outside. The beds were quite comfortable. I heard the tv wasn't working but that certainly wasn't a problem for me and the overall experience was highly positive

The staff were friendly and wonderfully responsive. I had called ahead to ask if hard boiled eggs were available--and there was a bowl of them on the breakfast table every morning. One could also make one's own waffles using a lovely antique looking waffle maker (make sure to use the nonstick spray and don't pour out too much batter), or just ask for their expert help. I also appreciated the fresh fruit and cut strawberries and blueberries, along with a variety of bagels, pastries, doughnuts, and oatmeal packets, milk, almond milk and orange juice, and the sweet breakfast nook adjoining the main dining area.

Chantico Inn will definitely be my first choice to stay the next time I find myself back in Ojai.

We had a terrible stay at this property, so much so we left around 11pm and didn't stay the night. This was a last minute choice as we live in LA, we wanted a room to have some wine and convos in san kids and walkable to downtown. The room was just under $300 a night. We showed up around 245-3pm after requesting an early check in and the room still wasn't ready. When we checked into the room there was an old toothbrush, scrunchy and garbage from the prior tenants even though we checked in around 530pm. The black sheet on the bed was dirty and the room itself in pretty bad disrepair (broken sink/missing wall tiles/very dusty). We made our way to the hot tub, which itself seemed clean, but we saw not one but two rats run by so we then made our way back to the room. We got into bed thinking we would muscle through but then felt like we were being bitten by bugs, not 100% sure by what but we threw in the towel and just decided to head home. I requested a refund and offered to share this feedback privately verses here but they only offered a complimentary stay. I would never ever stay here again free or not. Be aware if you aren't happy with your stay to this degree, you still won't get a refund. If you see rats at the hotel and your room has garbage and old belongings from another guest, you will not be given a refund. The front desk gentleman was nice and patient, apologetic almost, he was the bright spot in a very bad hotel experience.

A very enjoyable stay. Clean comfortable and stylish room. Pool and jacuzzi very nice. Great value and good proximity (short walk). I wish I had discovered Chantico before this trip. Glad I know it’s there if I decide to visit Ojai again.Thank you for a lovely place to stay!

This cute little spot is located in the perfect location for those looking to be near the Libby Bowl. There’s plenty of places within walking distance to eat and shop before your show.There’s a great lobby that has a seating area, perfect for relaxing a bit. There’s also second floor patio seating with a great view. The friendly staff is available when you need them, and breakfast is available early if you need something to get you started on your day.

Avoid this place. They are highly unprofessional and incompetent. I had gone in person on Wednesday to reserve a room for the coming Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. I left a debit card number to reserve the room. They leave me a voicemail Saturday morning (the day I’m supposed to check in) telling me they canceled my reservation because they over booked. I had made many plans in Ojai because I had that room reserved. Their incompetence has caused a lot of trouble for me because they canceled last minute the day I am supposed to check in. There are many better options for you nearby. Avoid the stress that this place causes.

Amazing place! Such a gem! Reminds me of a Spanish style home. I had my own patio and was able to see a lovely view of the mountains and sunrise. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff were so welcoming. Super close to the main town and local shops/restaurants. Extended my stay another night because I loved it so much!

Run the other way. TERRIBLE customer service. Have not received a call back regarding an unauthorized charge by them. Even hotels.com that I booked thru cannot get ahold of them and I had to open a ticket through a specialized team with hotels.com to help me get ahold of them, so far they won’t respond whatsoever. Very unprofessional. Room was clean but outdated and not worth the big price we paid for one night. Really disappointed because it totally killed the good vibes of our trip!! And ended up stressing me out so bad days after we got back home. Sadly have to find somewhere else to stay when we go back to Ojai. If they cared and were professional and called us back to clear up their error it would say a lot, but sadly they have not. This has never happened to me for any hotel so far. Stay far away and book elsewhere with a good reputation and killer customer service.

Loved the antiques and the fireplace. Shower was great and towels. All the stained glass windows around the property were cool as was the view from upstairs. Nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast had some fresh fruit. Great location to walk to town or jump on the bike/walking path.
