This review is actually about the Navajo Fry Bread stand attached to Chee's Indian Store. I had a Navajo taco, fry bread topped with chili. It was delicious.

Chee's had friendly staff and clean restrooms. The fry bread was cooked perfectly -- just the right blend of crisp and soft. Prices for things seemed reasonable. The only drawback is that it is not handicap accessible. There is a ramp into the store, but no handicap parking. No way to get to the fry bread stand if you are not completely ambulatory (my husband had to go for us). The bathroom had no hand rails, and I was barely able to fit with my knee scooter and lots of shifting. No way you'd even fit in the bathroom if you're in a wheelchair or electric scooter. Too bad, as this means we can't come back until I'm completely healed.

This has become my favorite place to stop along I-40 in Arizona! The best fry bread... you have to try it!! Rock shop is also awesome. I was looking forward to fry bread all day yesterday, but my lazy self left home too late - I didn't realize they closed at 4. Don't follow my bad example. Get here earlier!

Extremely helpful. First off i would like to say the young man working at the counter was so kind and knowledgeable. We went in just looking and happened to find my perfect wedding ring here. I told him about my issues with my engagement ring being too big and he gave us the idea to get a silicone band that clips onto the ring that can fit it better. This became useful not just for my engagement ring but my now husband's wedding ring.

This place was so great that we visited it 2x on our trip to Sedona, AZ. Once on our way into AZ and once on our way home.

Very friendly people! Great prices! Lots of artisan made crafts and jewelry!

Don't forget to check out the awesome selection of petrified wood and glass behind the store.

Oh! I almost forgot! Definitely come with an appetite. They have a Fry Bread stand right next to the store. The lady taking orders was very nice! We love the Navajo people!!!

This is why you are here. Because the last 5 times you passed this place you told yourself "next time, maybe when I'm not in such a hurry". Do it, it doesn't take long to make and parking was wide open. Get the frybread taco, and then get a plain with salt for the road.
