The customer service at the store was extremely poor. The staff did not provide any assistance, even though I was looking for help. They walked past me several times without even bothering to communicate. This kind of service is unacceptable and needs to be addressed immediately.

City Gear in Fultondale, AL. Very unprofessional. The Store Manager was unprofessional. I tried to return sneakers I bought a few days and she said they don’t do returns or store credit. She said I can only exchange for something of equal price. Then I said the policy says I can get store credit. With an attitude she said ‘well I don’t have gift cards so.. “ and just stopped there. How do you not have gift cards?! She didn’t apologize, or care for my inconvenience. I will not be back to that Location. Once I do that exchange somewhere else, I will not shop at City Gear anymore.

Terrible customer service. The staff acted like our presence there was a bother to them. They barely acknowledged me and my family, but when three men entered the store later, they said, "Welcome to City Gear". I guess not everyone is welcome there. Well don't worry, I won't be back!

I went on a Mother's Day to buy my wife the Jordans she has been wanting forever. Money has been tight and she has not been able to get the things she deserves so I thought I would surprise her with the shoes. I have been working side jobs to try and make extra money and had been saving to give her the Mother's Day she deserved. I waited and waited along with probably 6 or 8 other folks for someone to open the store and show up for work. I would go to other stores in the shopping center and kept checking back. After over an hour or so I left without the shoes I wanted to get her. The employees don't realize the consequences of their actions on other people and honestly really don't care either.
The sad part is, this is not an isolated problem with this particular store or the company. It is not something you can complain to a company about and have it fixed. It is an epidemic across the whole retail industry that is the result of a society with zero work ethic, a government that encourages laziness, and a sense of entitlement across a generation that is destined to fail. Our country is going in a terrible direction and people just can't see the consequences of what is coming.
