This place is way overpriced. I understand the location is remote, kinda , so things will cost more to get here, but not that much.
They even sell Costco brand, Kirkland, items here, and they’re about 2.5 times the price at Costco.
There’s no way shipping will cost that much, not to mention, Costco can ship, especially for that much items, for free. So why is a maple syrup that’ll be about $12 at Costco be $29 here, or a nut butter $7 or less at Costco be $19 here.
I’m not buying anything from this place even if I’m starving.
I called Alaska consumer protection, through the attorney general’s office and the lady at the office said that they can charge any price they want and there’s no anti gouging laws.

I understand the free market, but this much is a little too much.

From now on, I’ll bring all my groceries with me either feom Fairbanks or anchorage.

I understand this is the only true grocery store for miles but their prices are insane $9.59 for dozen eggs, all of the milk was expired by 2 wks, almond milk was $11. We decided to wait....

The store is okay, some of the prices on things are a little bit high and some are exuberantly high. Just be aware. For example, all of the bags of chips are like $9 each, but you could also get like packs of ramen at a pretty decent price.

There's a better store outside of town that I won't say. The name of that has better prices if that's what you're looking for. Everyone. The store was pretty friendly and they had a good selection of stuff

The young woman at the cashier was friendly, helpful and efficient. The woman at the deli made good coffee. The store had what I needed.

You will have to take a second mortgage on your home to buy groceries here. A travel coffee mug was $12.00.
