We've been staying at this location for years every few months to visit grandchildren and friends after we moved out of state. We call it our vacation home. Sarah at the front desk works hard to book us into our favored rooms and is so warm and welcoming. Leah is so sweet on the desk in the evenings. Helena is often our assigned housekeeper and we are always so grateful to have her. If she spots us in the hall, she greets us by name and asks if there's anything extra we need. Then there's Alex who runs the bar/cafe like it's Cheers, with the regular guests who look forward to the atmosphere he creates. Our grandsons crave his famous BLT sandwiches. We love catching up with him on our visits. We really feel like family and valued here. I'm just going to beg for one upgrade to the hotel. Smart TVs please! We need to stream on long stays especially with the grandchildren.

This Courtyard has been a home-away-from-home! We have already spend 20+ nights at this property this year.
Extremely impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff... a huge shout out and commendations to Leah, Angela, and Sarah at the front desk. The housekeeping staff is cordial and polite, and ready to assist... Maria has gone above and beyond to fulfill our specific needs. The customer service is exceptional and responsiveness to our needs top-notch outstanding.

Alright, so the Courtyard Foothill Ranch Irvine East/Lake Forest... let me tell you about my stay. First off, the staff? Absolute angels. The kind of people who smile at you like they're genuinely happy to see you and not picturing your face on a dartboard during their break.
BUT and here's where it takes a turn - I apparently booked my stay during what can only be described as the "Prepubescent Olympics." Every volleyball and softball team in the country decided THIS was the weekend for their championships. Nothing says "relaxing hotel stay" like being woken up at 6 AM by Mimi and her travel team practicing their victory chants in a stampede in the hallway.
You ever try to enjoy a continental breakfast while 30 kids in matching uniforms are debating whether chocolate milk or regular milk has more protein? I haven't had that many children stare at me eating a waffle since I was a mall Santa.
The room itself? Clean. Comfortable. The bed was nice enough that I would've enjoyed sleeping in it... you know, if I could've actually slept. Between the constant door slamming and kids using the hallway as a practice field, it was like trying to nap at a Chuck E. Cheese.
But honestly, can't fault the hotel for that. They didn't personally invite the screamers convention. And the staff handled it all with grace, like saints who've chosen customer service as their form of spiritual practice.
Would I stay again? Absolutely. But first I'm calling ahead to make sure they're not hosting any events where the majority of guests still get an allowance from the tooth fairy.

Great stay. This location is very nice, located adjacent to shopping and restaurants (walking distance, same parking lot). Be sure to park in hotel spaces and get parking permit - adjacent office building has their own security and they WILL tow. It’s located near the 241 which might be very convenient for travel, but there’s not many tourist attractions nearby. The lobby bar is great, with very friendly staff and a decent happy hour menu. Our room was clean and well appointed. However the phone did not work - we needed housekeeping but had to physically go down to the lobby bc the phone was inoperable. While the room seemed very clean overall, there was a yellow substance in the bathtub, which stopped me from showering during my stay. Not sure if it was dripping shampoo, or leftover cleaner … but I also wondered if it perhaps might have been urine. I tried not to let it get in my head too much and just decided to skip the shower instead of wasting my day trying to solve the mystery or asking for cleaning or to be moved an hour before work. Based on how clean everything else was, I’m chalking this up to a “one off.”
Our view from the room was lovely. Yes, partial freeway view but also beautiful sky and landscape, adjacent pool. I’d stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend to do a hike nearby. Our first impression wasn't the best but overall it was ok.
PROS:
- Bed was comfortable
- Quiet floors with signs about quiet hours posted
- Couldn't hear other rooms or televisions
- Breakfast was delicious - I highly recommend the breakfast bowl
- Lots of places to eat, shopping, entertainment and hike locations nearby
- Free parking (you need a parking pass in the window, though)
- Safe and clean city location
- Water bottle refill station in fitness center
- Large and bright lobby
- Food options in the lobby available from early morning to late evening
- Hotel staff were nice and professional
CONS:
- Room and bathroom smelled like stale urine when we arrived. I had to go by air freshener because it was overwhelming.
- EV chargers are available but they aren't done being installed
- Popcorn ceilings and outdated decor
- No apps for streaming on TVs
- Room overlooks freeway which included freeway noise
- AC made a weird squealing sound that lasted for a few hours. No one replied to us on the hotel messages. Maintenance finally showed up 3 hours later, but it stopped the nose by then.
- No Tap Pay option at check out
- Super overpriced snacks in lobby (bottled water: $7; KitKat: $5)
- Dining area fairly dirty with crumbs all over the floor, tables. Chairs were wobbly and the fabric looks filthy.
- Gold members but didn’t get room upgrade

We stayed for 24 nights at the hotel while we had an issue with our apartment. Cierra & the ladies at the front desk were so welcoming, accommodating, thoughtful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The staff, including the kind Indian maintenance gentleman and the bartender/cook at the bistro, were all so friendly & helpful. (Apologize, I didn’t catch everyone’s name). The manager made cookies every Friday night and the front desk team would even call up to our room to let us know to come get them in the lobby! Overall, the staff consistently went above and beyond in every aspect, that alone would prompt me to return to this hotel whenever possible.

Very well located, clean, and convenient to freeways. Many nearby places to eat, and you can just walk across the parking lot for Thai food or a fish taco, also a bar and grill. Thai Garden restaurant was very good and reasonable.||Also Ralphs just up the road where i bought some yogurt and a Clif bar for breakfast.|I would stay again, Lake Forest area quite nice, a good base for exploring OC, but I was there on business.

Rooms and service were great. The Bestro was less than desirable. Weird food and the bar tender was not knowledgeable about mixing a Lemon Drop Martini. Whatever he made was disgusting, I couldn't even drink it.
