It's the one place I can go and get my ingredients to cook accordingly my cultural foods. I'm Puerto Rican. And live in NY an hour away from Scranton, PA. And yes.. I must travel this far just to get the ingredients I need. I do it every 3-6 months. I buy enough to last me that long. I appreciate all of the products I have purchased over the past few years. I will continue to support this location, until there's a place I can go near me. (Not even Super-Walmart or Wegmans carry some of these ingredients)

Typical Ctown supermarket offering international staples and ingredients to help you simulate back home cooking. Well stocked, and doesn't get much foot traffic except for on the weekends. The fruit is a bit overpriced, and not as fresh as other places. They do have a hot food counter for quick, delicious meals to go.

Their customer service is horrible. God forbid you buy something and accidentally leave it at the store because they are going to make up so many lies and excuses to not give you your items that you paid for and then they don’t even want to refund you your money either. I’m talking about the store on south Washington Ave in Scranton, PA. They claim that the items left the store with you and say they have it on camera but when asked to view the footage they claim it’s a law that they can’t show it.

I stoped in to pick up a few items while I was waiting for my order at a local restaurant. The store is very clean and the staff seemed nice. Fresh fruits and vegetables looked nice but I didn't actually purchase anything so I can not speak to the quality. One item I looked at, fresh fruit cup, was 9 dollars compared to approximately 4.50 at other local stores. Klondike Ice Cream cones which sell for 8.50 in other stores are selling for 12.50 here. Club Crackers which sell for approximately 3.50 in other stores sold for 6.19 here. Needless to say I did not purchase anything at this store. It is sad as they seem to have a great variety but the prices are not based on the Scranton market.

Grocery store seemed clean upon walkthrough. Store has a great selection of ethnic based foods. Produce appeared to be fresh and there was a decent selection of meats. My only gripe is the prices. They seem extremely higher in some areas compared to other local grocery stores. For example, an ice cream quart here for a specific brand was almost $9. Another store had the same brand for $3. Other areas and foods tended to be high as well. I think this store is great if you are looking for an ethnic based food/ingredient that you may not be able to locate at a bigger box store. I would not recommend doing a full grocery order here.
