We stopped by CulturArts today while we were on Cannery Row, and it was truly amazing. There is a huge selection of alebrijes and they are the most beautiful ones I've ever seen. We had such a hard time picking out our favorites, but we found two that really spoke to us. Roberto was an incredible owner who took so much time and care to explain the patterns and symbolism to us. He is so knowledgeable about the process of carving and painting the alebrijes, and it was so great to hear about it from him. We will definitely be back next time we're in Monterey!

Had a wonderful experience shopping here and learning more about Oaxaca culture. We bought beautiful and well-made handcrafted materials and the owner told us about the different areas that each item came from and what the different animals and images symbolized on each item.

This shop is beautiful! Lots of vibrant colorful pieces to choose from. Added bonus: we were told the meaning behind the pieces we purchased as well as the meaning behind all the detailed symbolism painted on our items. Great artwork and great service.

One of the nicest stores I've been to, beautiful hand crafted art and it's basically a museum. I got a mini grasshopper alebrije and the seller was more than happy to tell me all about it and its history!

Super nice and will come again 🙂

Oh man!!! This place is amazing. It has the largest collection of Alebrijas I have ever seen in one place. They are museum quality, which means the work is labor itensive, and pricing is a reflection of that high quality of work $$$$. But if you're like me, it's well worth the free price of admission.

The owner is very knowledgeable and is truly happy to share his extensive knowledge about the master works of art. They also have other made in Mexico items (ceramics and jewelry) that are more affordable.

I found this place late night while strolling around cannery row. I am so glad I went in. The art pieces sold here are absolutely beautiful. They're hand crafted and hand painted with an agave brush. I spent almost an hour here checking out all of the beautiful items. The gentleman at the cashier was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He explained what all of the symbols and colors of each piece meant. I reached out to them today to see if I could get them to ship me a piece for a friend's birthday. He was super accommodating and friendly, they have excellent customer service. I will stop by next time I am in the area
