After an urgent care visit for my son we came here at 8p. The line was ~20 people and took 30 minutes to get through. The pharmacy then said they hadn’t received an order though the doctor said they had sent it several times during the appointment. I went back today at 1230p and the line was about twice the size. I then checked the app and the pharmacy listed the prescription (a common antibiotic) as “delayed” and it stayed that way for the rest of the day. The operation seemed uncoordinated and the pharmacists stressed. This was my first time at this pharmacy and I switched the prescription to another CVS, will not be going back.

Despite the unusually long line at CVS on Mindanao in Marina del Rey, the pharmacy tech was calm, professional and graciously helped get my prescriptions. Prior to attending to me, pharmacy tech was yelled and insulted by a customer who didn't like waiting like the rest of us. Unusually long line (about 20+) possibly people picking meds for others or displaced due to the recent Palisades fires from just hearing conversations.
Again, the pharmacy tech was very professional keeping calm and never complaining of the work or insult she just experienced.
I always come to this CVS because of the friendly and kind pharmacy staff!

The best CVS in town. We have the best team and our pharmacy is open 24/7 and the team is amazing, especially our Pharmacist MaryAnn. What would we do without her! Thx CVS.

The longest lines I've ever seen at a pharmacy. Staff were absolutely trying their best, but everyone around me was waiting 1-2 hours after they were told it would be ready

Medication tamper/protection seal was broken. Upon arriving home we noticed it. If you have any issues, good luck getting ahold of the pharmacist over the phone. They only have a robot, you'll never get to talk to a real person and then you'll have to drive back to have it fixed.

From a customer point of view CVS Pharmacies are not customer friendly. They are an inefficient disaster.

Very large and bright interior. Pharmacy staff is helpful and friendly. Gets very busy in the evenings, go early to avoid waiting for your prescription. Parking is easy.

I appreciate CVS' effort to keep customers and gain new ones, against a fierce competition like Amazon Pharmacy. I prefer the personal experience of visiting a store because I can make other necessary purchases, and I have a chance to speak to a pharmacist should that be necessary. I order to switch from Amazon back to CVS I need though to gain more confidence in the reliability of the process of refilling a prescription. In that respect you have to improve your communication with your customers. For example, as soon as a physician has filled out a prescription and sent it to CVS you need to send a text, voice or email message saying that you received it and that you are working on it. They way it works for me know is that I have to call CVS and ask if the refill order has reached you. You should also consider to automate as much as you can of this process. For example, the physician's staff should give patients a control number that I can submit via the app to get automatic updates. Ideally, a patient should not leave the office of a physician before they have received a confirmation that the refill order has reached CVS and is being processed. What happens afterwards is a bit better organized but should get improvements, too. Once the refill order has been processed, I receive a text that confirms that I can pick it up. Given that in the past I received such messages when instead the order was not yet ready for pick up, I now call every time to get a confirmation. This is tedious and unnecessarily complicated. Again, you should give customers a control number that they can fill in -very much like the tracking numbers you get from USPS, UPS and FedEx- that confirms that your medication is ready.\nOn the positive side, I appreciate that you offer benefits like free COVID tests for customers who come in person to pick up their medication. You should add other benefits to this, like deals that are available only for those who pick up their medication in person. Besides, when I picked up the free COVID tests, at first the lady at the counter did not know what I was asking for, as the tests were on the shelf for pre ordered and ready for pick up goods. Also here ther is some improvement possible, for example, as you pick up your medication, you should get a voucher that you can show at check out to get your free stuff.
