We went to Diamond Head General after my son's game on Sunday morning. We arrived 5 minutes early before opening time and we were already 5th in line waiting. The ambiance took us back to Hawaii. They set up the store with Hawaii store goods displayed in the middle and tables were set-up for dine in customers. We ordered "Luau" Katsu Curry, Loco Moco, and Fried Mochiko Chicken Plate. Oh my goodness! The servings were huge - I would say good for 2 persons per serving. Our 6 year old son had a huge appetite after an hour or so of playing but he finished of an adult and he loved the Spam Musubis. DHGS had the largest Spam/Bacon/Avocado Musubi and Spam/Tempura/Avocado Musubi. We ordered Shaved Ice - Rainbow and Tropical - and again it was huge! So I would say the prices are decent with the amount of food with got. We spent $120 with 2 canned drinks and tips.

Of course, if you have kids you need the restroom. They had 2 separate restrooms and both were clean.

We will definitely come back to try their poke bowls.

Food was absolutely amazing! They have a lot of different options and the service was really great. My friends and I enjoyed the food we ate. They also sold some snacks and drinks as well. I would definitely come back here again. It would be nice if they were able to expand and have more seating, because it can get crowded during lunch time.

This place is great! One-stop shop for all your hawaiian snacks and meals. A bit pricy but huge portions, enough for 3 meals (for me at least).

"Luau" Katsu Curry ($19.00) - Thick, robust curry. Katsu was extra deep fried. Mac salad was ok. Too creamy for me.

Fried Mochiko Chicken Plate ($18.00) - So much chicken. Crispy and a little sweet. I prefer this chicken on my curry over the katsu.

Butter Mochi ($6.00) - Yum! Even the plastic wrap was oily.

What once use to be morning wood is now a two for one. Welcome to Diamond Head General Store where you step into a glimpse of Hawaii for Atleast 20min. The entrees are hefty so come hungry or come ready to have leftovers. They amount of food they give you compared to other restaurants in the same group is unmatched.
The menu ranges from original dishes like kalua pork, loco moco, spam Musubi, bbq chicken.
They also have chef special dishes like the crispy Chilli chicken that will blow your mind. This place gets it rite every time.
Crispy Chilli Chicken: sweet and crunchy very juicy pcs of chicken. Two scoops of Mac salad and a scoop of white rice.
Sour candy: in house made sour watermelon strips.
Mahi Mahi:two large pcs of fruikake panko crusted fish on a bed of cabbage with two scoops of rice and one scoop of Mac salad.

Plenty of options when it comes to the Hawaiian spam musubi. It's filling.

I read reviews about Diamond Head General Store when it first opened and finally made it over there December 29, 2023. If you love Hawaiian breakfast or lunch, this is the place to eat. I had the Loco Moco with chicken and the portion was HUGE, enough to feed me breakfast for three days! We also ordered the Crispy Garlic Chicken plate, which was also tender and delicious.

Can't wait to go here when the weather is warmer to have shaved ice!
