Had an amazing experience working with Malgo on tailoring my wedding dress. She is very detailed oriented and made the dress fit like an absolute dream. She is also honest with her pricing. She adjusted the top to fit my bust and waist, added a bustle, and hemmed the bottom layers to fit my height. I worked with her during the winter months and she was very quick to get it done. Malgo is absolutely amazing!!!! She did the best job altering my gown and her prices were very fair. I had 4 total dress appointments with Malgo and each time she was so precise and truly took her time during each of our appointments. My bustle was a HUGE factor for me as I hate the traditional bustle. Malgo offered me a few different options and provided photos of ones she has done. She absolutely CRUSHED my bustle, it looked like I didn't even have a train during my reception and it held all night!! I was a nightmare bride (not in terms of attitude, but circumstances): I had a huge (huge!) and heavy “princess” dress (the kind of dress you’d see in historical dramas) that I ordered online sight unseen (I know, right?), there wasn’t a lot of time for alterations for this type of dress and volume of work, AND I kept loosing massive amounts of weight just as Malgo was making alterations to keep up…over and over and over again. This dress was a super challenging task, but Malgo did an excellent job!

The dress was gorgeous, but it arrived only ~2 months before my wedding day, was 2-3 sizes too large, a foot! too long despite me providing my height to the dress designer, was all delicate lace and beads and sparkles (hard to make alterations), had numerous skirt layers (super “fun” to make alterations to skirt length on numerous layers and a ton of fabric).

I almost cried at my first dress appointment and begged Malgo to help me. She said she usually doesn’t work with these type of huge princess dresses (understandable, I have no idea where did she even find the space in her studio to roll out the voluminous skirt to make sure it’s all even when tailored, but it is!). Malgo took pity on me (maybe it was a slower time in Feb/March?) and I had a wedding in a dress of my dreams!

Do not hesitate to make alterations with Malgo, she truly is an expert in her craft.

I got married in April 2024, and one of the greatest decisions I made was choosing Malgo as my seamstress. She is truly AMAZING at her job. Do NOT underestimate Dressigner because it is a small business. Malgo works so incredibly hard to make sure all of her brides' dresses are perfect ! I ordered a budget, used dress online, and it was a little big on me. Malgo had my dress fitting like a GLOVE by my wedding day. Malgo is very personable and makes great conversation while she is fitting your dress. She is also very caring; at one of my appointments, I started feeling a bit lightheaded and needed to take a seat. She set up the benches to allow me to lay down and gave me water and a small snack to help me feel better before we continued. She did not rush me...she truly cares about her clients! She has years of experience and she can do anything! Just tell her what you picture your dream dress being, and consider it done with Malgo.

Malgo is an excellent tailor. She is highly skilled and can reconstruct various elements of your wedding dress in order to make the perfect fit. If there are design challenges, she works through them, discussing every aspect, respecting your vision and making it come alive. Malgo is reliable and you can feel safe trusting her with your important day. She hemmed lace for my dress leaving the beautiful edge intact, which was important to me. I recommend supporting this woman-owned small business. There is plenty of parking at her studio as well.
