Place is incredible, everyone was happy in a good mood. Food was awesome, and the salsa bar is insane. 20 different kinds of homemade salsas, pickled onions, grilled jalapeños and onions so good

My husband wanted menudo, this market was to have some of the best. We called it was BYOB so we took a locally produced mead. Some thin a. It swwe yo off set the spicyness.. I had to have our waitress to AK some one that spoke a bit mor English so I could ask questions, I have food allergies. I ended up having the shrimp spicy soup! WOW. Larry was a bit disappointed in the menudo, he said it tasted like it has tomato sause, but he ate with gusto regardless. We purchased some Mexican peanut and sesame candies, they were a find, only made with sugar, no corn syrup! I have allergies to corn. The market was awesome. We have to go back.

Update 2025: new location is nicer and newer. Food seasoning change a bit to a lighter side but still very nice. Grocery section is bigger with more selections!

Old place review in 2023:
To be fair it’s a little challenging coming here for the first time by yourself. But all you have to do is to walk through the grocery at the front to get to their restaurant in the back.
Mexican food here is close - if not the same as Southern Californian - very tasty and the portions are generous!
Friendly and very accommodating service. Prepare cash.
The food is so good I can be happy with just bean & rice. But why stop there while you have such good options.
Their open salad & salsa bar are great, you can serve yourself for dine-in or add some for your pickup order.
Come back out to collect more treats - if your belly still have space 😝
Highly recommend to check it out!

Mexican Grocery store/Restaurant/Bakery.

An fulfilling dive of what it feels like when entering another culture. Blown away by every aspect of the restaurant/grocery store despite the place being run down. However, this only adds to the experience!

Grew up eating tacos my entire life, but never anything quite like this. From the pictures you see, I am a huge taco person, so it was inevitable that every visit I always order tacos!

It was succulent, delicious, and stunning! A selection of tacos I always gravitate toward are the Al Pastor, Pork Skins, Tongue, and Fried Pork! There are times it can be dry, but limes can save the day! Squeeze generously!

The service is on standard to what I expect with other places. Ask and receive, so don't be afraid to ask when a problem arises!

And the atmosphere is loud when busy, but peaceful when empty. The setting is also run-down, but it only adds to everything. There may be bias because of how good the food is, but visit when you get a chance! You will not regret it!

I recommend this place!

Absolutely beautiful and authentic Mexican food. Prices are very reasonable and the service is top noch. They have free veggies 😋 and fresh cucumber, relishe, and lemon water for all to enjoy.
Next door, they have an amazing store to buy great items, also a nice bakery to take home some yummy goodies.

The food was so good and the service was amazing! Our server was Rudy and he was such a great server, both attentive and friendly. We also met Leo, who wasn’t our server but was extremely attentive, polite and helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed such an amazing service! I highly recommend both of them.

We love ElPrimo! The food is fresh and delicious.
Authentic Mexican, at least 6 different salsas on the salsa bar with fresh produce to add with your dish.
Also a grocery store with fresh produce, Hispanic groceries/refrigerated items, large selection of dried chilies.
Lots of baked goods, stunning cakes, all baked/decorated in house.
Service is as good as the food.
A must try!
