I am sad to be writing this review. I have been going to and supporting this store for my entire adult life (15 plus years). I enjoy the products they sell, their produce selection, and the prices and the deals. I live far from them in Southern Humboldt so today I had to make a phone call to ask after a possible product they may or may not sell. I got directed to the wellness department where a woman was so curt and nearly aggressive with me I not only felt taken aback and teary eyed, I also did not even get a real answer to my question. What a terrible representation of this store. Not sure if I will be returning.

For me, Eureka Natural Foods is the best little organic supermarket in whole Eureka. The main competitors are North Coast Co-op and Murphy's Market. The store is clean, staff is very friendly, and there are lots of parking lots available. I love the local produce area where you can buy soaps, honey, wife, sweets. The organic section is great, and the products are high quality. Both the bread and cheese are is very good too. Note that, this supermarket is a little more expensive than the other supermarkets in the region. That said, I highly recommend it.

Large selection of local and worldwide brands. They have an entire aisle of chocolate. Smoothie, juice and coffee bar is very good and the employees are very friendly. Food from the deli is very good. Not the place to go for a bargain. High quality = high price here. But they do have sales! Look for colorful, large price tags on the shelves that say (eg.) “October Saver”

I like this store, but will never buy meat here again. Twice I have purchased meat here for dinner, taken it straight home and cooked it. Twice I have had steak taste like rotting fish. Plus I didn’t like that the butcher came back from his 15 minute break 20 mins late, didn’t wash his hands and gave me attitude when I requested that he did.

Eureka Natural Foods has always been a go-to spot for organic goodies, but the recent turnover in staff has left a bit of a void. While the current team is friendly and helpful, the level of knowledge and personal touch that characterized the store in the past seems to have diminished.

For the most part, the high price tag is justified by the quality of products, but it would be nice to see a bit more flexibility, especially when it comes to returns. While I understand the need for receipts, a little more understanding for a defective product would have been appreciated. Perhaps a store credit or exchange could have been offered as a gesture of goodwill (it was a flea/tick spray that literally wouldn't spray out of the bottle....)

It’s clear that ENF is still a valuable asset to the community, but a renewed focus on staff training and customer satisfaction could help it regain its former glory.

This store offered a great selection of natural, dairy free and gluten-free options. The inviting atmosphere was enhanced by the delightful aroma of freshly prepared Indian cuisine.

Awesome selection of organic products! I have bought the biggest, hugest seeded watermelon I have ever seen in my life, along with several other melons. They were excellent, deliciously sweet, the best quality I have purchased in a long time. They have lots of fresh produce, locally roasted coffee beans, wine, just about everything organic. Prices are very good, especially for the organic quality. The store is nice and clean, well organized. I used to like Good Earth in the Bay area, but have to say Eureka Natural Foods is just as good if not better! The prices are certainly lower.Definitely stop by if you have a chance.
