Store says everything 50% off, but beware, there were shoes priced $400. Clothes were almost all $19.99. I don’t know how you can consider this a non profit family ministry thrift store when things are ridiculously overpriced, and many families cannot afford this. I would not recommend.

So I saw a sale for their second anniversary. I thought I would check it out since I have been coming here since they opened. I also thought that I would mention the issue I had with a Brighton bag that they sold me which the zipper broke two days later after I bought it and it turned out to be a knock off. It was sold to me as a Brighton for $39.99. They had an original Brighton that had been sitting there forever for $29.99. I talked to the manager, Cyndi..I am surprised she was there today, on a Saturday. She is never there when I ask for her. I usually have gone in on Wednesdays during 25% off sale. FAM is officially on the boycott list now. The manager basically told me it was "buyer beware" and that her volunteers are nice and I am the one with the problem. I went in there to give them a last and final try, but it turned out worse. I have not bought anything there since the last nightmare I experienced shopping there. Cindy said she had a Nordstrom's background Some Nordstrom's background, blaming a loyal customer of 2 years since the store opened. She said she " was not happy with my review for the whole world to see". After she told me that " I am the one with the problem ". I told her that the only nice volunteers are Katrina and her daughter. She had no clue who I was talking about. I told her that I am not taking down my review. She called the purses "Buyer Beware" herself. She alsi asked, "Why do you keep shopping here?" What does that say about her store?. For her information, I have not bought anything there since the horrible experience I had last time. If she trains the volunteers with that attitude, it is no wonder they are rude! Cyndi also argued with me about the tags. I know that they recycle the FAM tags, but I was referring to the tags from the original store. They cut them off when you buy the item and throw them in the trash. The cashier toldvme that they do this because people buy things there with tags on and then go back to the store and return them as new. How many people are actually going to do this? What kind of people are shopping there? It would appear that shoplifting is a big problem because that is how the volunteers treat you. CYndi said they follow you around the store to offer good service. Jumping all over people and asking if they put things back is not good service. Some Nordstrom's service that is. I am better off shopping at The Hanger in Laguna Niguel, where they actually do authenticate items and price them accordingly. They have a 50% sale the last week of every month. It is organized with several fitting rooms, and the volunteers there really are friendly. It is a more professional store. They have the same prices as FAM, and sometimes even better. It is clean, and you do not have to worry about being treated like you are stealing. It is a different customer base than FAM. It is a store for professional women to help other professional women. Thrift stores do not need to treat their customers like this just because it is a non-profit or because they help the community. What they get are donations, and they should be kind. Well, God bless their ministry
