I was at the market on Sunday morning 03/23/2025 around 11:30am. I bought yam and part of the yam was not good. I kindly asked the lady to cut off the part that was not good. She ignored me and weighted the yam. After weighting the yam, she told me that it was $16.89. I asked her again to cut off the part on the yam that's not good. She rudely did and put the yam and the bad part back in the bag. I kindly asked her again to reweight the yam now that she cut off the part. She told me that she cannot do that. She said to me " If you want yam, you have to go and get another one. I am going to weight this again". I started at her for a moment and wonder if the store belongs to her, would she react the way she did.

Wanted to get some goat meat from here but it’s shut down due to inspection they do have a lot of mice traps inside and holes in certain foods 🤔 hopefully they get it straightened out

The old worker’s are very helpful and polite
The new faces the male workers are very friendly and helpful not the females very rude and have no patience. They always thinks they’re helping you by you spending your money 😞

Great place if you're looking for African or Caribbean ingredients. Already proportioned oxtails, goat, lamb chicken and tons of whole and sliced fish. Seasonings and herbs. Good prices.

Zero customer service. I guess it's because it's managed by the owner's relatives. They really need to hire experienced cashier. You get easily snobbed here. If you raise a concern, they look at you as a fool. I once bought semolina with 🐜 on it. I video it and showed it to the store management and nothing happened. I didn't even get a sorry from them. I once bought a spoiled fish from them. The cashier finds it difficult to answer a question, especially the young man that's always on his phone.

The store is ok, I recently purchased a bag of red onions along with some other items. The onions were molded, didn’t realize it until I got home. I’ve been in this store 3x’s and everything I go to checkout, the lady with the really low haircut (Close to bald) is on the phone every single time, she doesn’t greet you and if you ask her a question she just nods her head. That is SO UNPROFESSIONAL. She’s definitely rude.
