This is a local rural bar, with excellent elevated food. The wings were top notch. I’ve heard numerous times that the burgers are too. But I would try anything they are serving. GREAT food. Seems kind of like the American version of an Irish/English pub. Families, all ages, great food, local connections.

Fun restaurant with affordable prices. We got our food pretty fast. We got three appetizers-the nachos supreme, fried cheese curds, and onion rings. The nachos were meh - I would love to see house made tortilla chips instead of Tostitos! The cheese curds were delicious, and we loved the marinara that came with it! The onion rings were tasty but lacked flavor. The food was good in some cases but not in others. DO NOT get the steak - it was like eating an old venison hunk of meat! The Mac and cheese platter was served with cold Mac and cheese that tasted like it was made with velveeta. The barbecue sauce that was on it was delicious, though! I got the Pittsburgh salad which was crispy and refreshing, but a tad mediocre. I’d love to see real bacon instead of the store bought bits. The Italian dressing was a big highlight though! A couple of people at our table ordered burgers or sandwiches, and they were all 10/10, so I’d say that this is the area where Forest House shines. It really is just a matter of determining what they do well and sticking with that!

They did a Thanksgiving dinner,FREE to any one & everyone,no limit on dinners,free delivery, or pick up!! I was blown away by such generosity! They spent their day cooking & giving away a full Thanksgiving dinner,asking for nothing in return. I ,of course,gave a donation,& he said to me," just so you know ,this goes to our kids Christmas fund". I hope they get an abundance of donations to bless them for gifting others. The dinner was VERY good,,homemade & great portions. Thank you Forest House,you are a gift to this community. ❤️❤️

For us, funny and such an unusual place - in the middle of nowhere, after a long trip by Bald Eagle State Forest, PA we saw a ... country bar with accommodation...
Inside, local guys in Sunday’s social situations 😉 ...
We were charmed by the service and pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food we ordered ...!

The place was a hopin! No band, but nobody cared, lol they were there for the food! The only complaint we had was that some of the drafts were served in plastic cups and others were in glass glasses. It definitely made a difference in the temperature of the beer. But that's It. Food was awesome, server was great even as busy as it was, and the bathrooms still looked great. I'll be back for sure!

Very delicious food! Very nice service as well! The ambiance of the restaurant is somewhat nostalgic and comfortable. Nice little place to visit while on a trip through the woods!

My wife and I had dinner at the Forest Hill Restaurant last night and we were blown away. Even though the parking lot was full, we were seated in a very timely manner. Service was a little slow, but not bad considering how busy they were. My wife had the Mac and cheese platter topped with cut up chicken nuggets. She said it was very good. I had the fried haddock fillet with Mac and cheese and buttered corn as my sides. My fillet was cooked perfectly, and the Mac and cheese was beyond excellent. We will definitely eat there more often!

Looks like a friendly bar, but we were there for the food. I got seasoned curly fries and my friend got a burger with fresh cut fries. I gotta say, her fries were way better. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definetly go back.
