Family owned business with incredible service and German aesthetic. The market has many hard-to-find imports with an wide selection of sweets and beer. Their biergarten restaurant/ deli is also great. Last time I visited, their power was out and they STILL provided amazing service.

This place is such a hidden gem! I love grabbing a hot plate and beer here. The patio is very nice and the vibe is always family friendly. Plus, you can buy your favorite German products after grabbing a bite!

Awesome German Market. I recently moved into the area and heard about George's, so I went to try some of the food. It was so delicious that I had to go back again today to try some more of the menu. Bonus on my 2nd visit today, was meeting George, the founder & owner. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and the atmosphere is very comfortable & festive.

Love the market, bought a good variety, & they gained a new regular customer. Thank you George & Staff. I will be back soon🍻🍻

Update: Still the best place to get lunch in Calimesa. They raised the prices on everything but that was expected.

But I did get to meet George. He’s just as legendary as I expected. Super friendly, somewhat reserved, but he really embodies the old world vibes of the market. Definitely getting a pic with him next time I’m in town.

3 words: German hot plate. Under $10 and everything you could want. They have sandwiches, hot foot, cold cuts, sausage to go, butcher cuts, dry foods, sauerkraut, mustard, sweets, treats, and German Bier.

They’ve been here for 53 years and I finally found this place. Shame…

Love this little bit of Germany ,ordered there plate with brats sour crout German potato salad , rye bread with caraway seeds and Swiss cheese, chose a German beer from the beer case. Took home cheese and bacon and black forest ham, and a honey I have never had befor. lots of things from Germany on the shelves fun to go through.

Stopped by this German market on our way to Oak Glen. It came highly recommended from a friend and didn’t disappoint. Great specialty market with an attached deli. They also serve hot plates. I had the smoked bratwurst and a Ruben sandwich and both were delicious. Don’t forget the sauerkraut and pickles which are equally good. The German style potato salad is a must try.
Additional bonus is the German duo in the biergarten singing toons from the fatherland. So grab beer and a seat and enjoy the show…

Excellent German market! Huge apple strudel stuffed with apples, a total bargain! I found great beer, chocolate, and more, a must whenever we go visit our friends in the area!
