What you would expect from a GoodWill.

The place wasn't very clean or organized well at all. I had trouble figuring out if they had any real system with the clothing layout and finding sizes. None of the shoe tags show sizes so sometimes you really gotta lot for them.

They definitely need more employees to keep the place clean, organized, and to have someone at checkout. Myself and another customer waited a bit until someone noticed us standing around the checkout area. The women was very nice but for the size of the store I think there were maybe 2 employees there on a Saturday. You definitely need more employees.

I bought a cheap pair of comfy shoes and a simple cheap shirt. They don't sell their own products so they don't really have any accountability for the quality but at least you know the price is fair.

Of all the local Goodwill locations, Thorndale has gone rogue. Pricing across area stores is VASTLY different. I refuse to visit this location as they are practicing price gouging. For example, see the attached photo for a pack of balloons that can be purchased from Dollar Tree for $1.25. The Thorndale GW is charging a whopping $4.99. Or a pack of eight paper plates for $6.99. The employees of this store and Goodwill in general should be ashamed of themselves. Would THEY pay these absolutely ridiculous prices? Goodwill’s greed is killing the thrifting industry and causing families to struggle even more. Take a look in the mirror, Goodwill. What you will see does not reflect your business mission AT ALL.

We were having a good experience and in a good mood until it was time to check out and the cashier Michelle GB was either not in the mood to work or is just rude, no customer service skills. We were purchasing a rocking chair and instead of allowing us to bring it around to make it easier to scan on us and them, we were made to lift it up over the counter so they could scan it. Felt like they wanted to show they were in control, it was weird experience. Maybe if you don't want to do that type of work find a different job, part of being a cashier is helping your customers with their purchases. Thankfully we are young and were able to hold it up while they were scanning because if it was someone older or with weak bone density they could have broke a shoulder.

Went to get my 3 kids clothes for the fall. I forgot my wallet so before I started shopping I asked the woman at the check out if I could use Apple Pay. She told me yes. So I spend a good bit of time with my infant and two toddlers shopping for clothes for them. When I go to check out Apple Pay isn’t working and they tell me there is nothing they can do. So I had to leave with nothing. I asked them if they could hold the clothes for me so I could go home and get my card and they told me no. I’m sorry but if the tap wasn’t properly working why is it that I can not run home to get my card? Over all terrible experience.

Furniture wouldn’t fit in my car to bring home, and even though it never left the property the staff gave me a really hard time about it.

hi, so i just went to goodwill and i was planning on paying with card. when i went to the cashier to pay for my clothes, she pushed the wrong button and demanded that i pay in cash. i didn’t have cash, i would also like the note that it wasn’t simply 5 or 10 dollars. no. it was about 20. this wouldn’t be a problem except i didn’t have cash. when i told her this she told me to borrow cash from the woman standing next to me. i awkwardly asked if the women had cash, thank god she did, but i don’t understand why this interaction occurred. the cashier then forgot how much money i owed her and she also somehow thought i already gave her 20 dollars. she then only counted half the cash and shoved all of it in the cash register. i don’t think she knows what she was doing. it was very awkward and i hope i never have to experience this ever again.

They overcharge for items that are donated or items they bought in neighboring stores. There was a jar there for $3.99 from tj maxx. They sold it for $4-5. They also buy a bunch of stuff from dollar tree and sell it for 2-3 times more than it’s worth/priced
