I think this is one of the best thrift stores in the area. Not only the clothing section for men is great, but it also has a wide selection of home decor, furniture, kitchen appliances, jewelry, accessories etc. I bought a great pair of shoes, L.L. bean pants, and some general cotton tees for a total of $20. It was a steal. I definitely recommend and I’ll be back!

I’ve been a loyal customer of the Holy Redeemer Thrift Store for over a decade, and I’ve visited many thrift stores throughout the years. Unfortunately, I’ve made the difficult decision to stop shopping and donating here.

While there are certainly some kind and dedicated staff members, the overall atmosphere often feels tense and unwelcoming. This may be reflective of underlying working conditions, which is concerning. Additionally, the store environment has declined. There’s a noticeable musky odor(a bit too musky given it’s a thrift store), many items are covered in dust, and prices seem disproportionately high given the quality of the merchandise around holidays especially.

During my most recent visit, I had an uncomfortable interaction at checkout. Despite carefully spelling out the necessary information, the staff member repeatedly entered it incorrectly and continually reminded me to bring my card next time after each incorrect misspelling. Even after I provided my ID to assist, I was told I hadn’t been clear and was blamed for the confusion.

Given the declining store conditions and this recent experience, I’ve decided to both donate and shop elsewhere. It saddens me to see a place with such a rich and meaningful history lose its sense of care. I truly hope the Holy Redeemer Thrift Store receives the support and attention it needs to improve and thrive once again.

This thrift store is large and offers something for everyone. There’s clothing, collectibles, jewelry, books and more. They have a lot of furniture. The store is organized but the clothing needs better organizing. The prices are higher than expected for a lot of items, especially clothing. Finding an employee was hard. They need additional sales.

Disappointed. I had my eyes on fur coat. I was trying on coats when I overheard conversation on the employees walkie talkies informing the other employees that I was trying on furs. I have patronized this store many times over the years without any incidents. I was here over the weekend with no issues. This is disheartening. I won’t be back, I was profiled. If you wanted to help me, ask me. Just disappointed.

Haven't been to this store in awhile, and, after going today, I remember why. They don't have air conditioning, so the store is uncomfortably warm. Four women all commented how hot they were, so I know it wasn't just me. Apparently the AC has been broken for months, and they won't fix it. (They also won't open a door nor turn on a fan.)

But worse, is the very very grumpy cashier. She gets mad when you don't bring your loyalty card and you ask her to look up your account by name. She lectured me about always carrying my card with me. She is pushy and curt and makes checking out truly miserable.

The store also has a heavily perfumed smell that is not pleasant. They also raised the flat prices on their items.

So this is one thrift store that I have thoroughly enjoyed going to for the past couple of years, until recently.
When the men are working at the counter, it's always a pleasant experience to check out. When the women are working at the counter, they seem very unpleased to be working there. More so they're downright grumpy.
The biggest reason for my review today is that the increase in the flat prices, has been outrageous personally. When you have items that are being given to you, i.e.donated, I understand that this is a business, and you all need to make money to pay your employees and to keep the lights on in the building and so forth and so on. However, the flat rate prices some of them are higher than what the item was paid for when it was new. A lot of people like coming there because of the flat prices. To see that they have all gone up exponentially, was disheartening. I shop at thrift stores to get a bargain, to buy something inexpensive. I have to work two jobs to keep things afloat for myself and my child. So to come to with thrift store and pay the prices that you have raised items to, I'm not sure that I'll be able to return. I was walking around to check out the Home Goods items. There was an item there that is a candle and the candle is used, burnt down to almost nothing in the encasement. It is priced $15, why? Very sad and disappointed.

To be candid, I actually don't know how many stars this thrift store deserves; I chose 5 arbitrarily.
For furniture, specifically, the best time to come is around noon, and not on sale days!
The 'sale days' (25% off store wide, are Monday & Thursday). That is, not only because they receive new inventory daily...
