I’m giving a 1 star. I drove all the way to Homer and I was looking for a really good burger. I’m only giving one star because the gentleman behind the counter was the sweetest nicest man with great customer service. However, I was in a hurry grab my food and Had to head back to Kenai, when I got down the road and opened my food box the burger had nothing on it but meat and cheese. I asked for everything plus bacon and there was nothing to dip anything in with my mushrooms or my cheese bites. I was just extremely extremely Disappointed. I spent $35 on a burger with nothing but meat and cheese on it and a portion of mushrooms and cheese bites with nothing to dip in them. Not to mention the people behind the counter just glared and at me and never acknowledged me the entire time I have no idea what happened, but I’m severely disappointed.

It was a fresh order, I drove to Homer to do a drop off, and stopped on my way back to Kenai.
The guy took my order at the counter after he realized I was using cash, he was so nice.
The people in the kitchen never once acknowledged me as I stood there waiting. No explanation or anything all my answers were gladly answered by the gentleman at the main counter.
I waited for my food (had no problem waiting because I was excited… ) when I got the order, the lady just glared at me and waited for me to leave? I took off didn’t think twice, and headed home. I take responsibility because I should’ve checked it, before I left. However, it was such an easy order I wasn’t sure how you could mess it up.
I’m not posting this expecting anything free, but to say this used to be my favorite spot for the best burger, and I really felt like there’s no love in the kitchen. I felt like I was in the way. And as I seen the order I couldn’t just drive home. I was so upset I pulled over and posted the review instantly.
I wasn’t even able to eat it and my dogs got a 35.00 dinner. ?

The food used to be good.
I have been getting a Firestarter Hamburger here for years and it used to be spicy, with an excellent flavor, the meat cooked well, and a generous helping of fries. Now there is hardly any chopped peppers on it, the flavor is lacking, the meat didn't even taste like it was completely cooked, and the fries are an extra. I am not generally one to make negative reviews, but I was disappointed and I doubt I will ever recommend Home Run Short Stop food to anyone again.

Very rude worker. Kept slamming our purchases down. Rolled his eyes at us repeatedly. Not sure what his problem was.

Post hours are 7 am to 9 pm but it seams like they rather open at 8 am. It happens on a regular basis so why not change your hours

Best burger joint in town. Consistently delicious. In-house made buns vary in size sometimes but the beef patties are 100% delicious. Best part of my dump runs lol

Some of the best food, prices and service in the area. You won't find a better price for a good meal in Homer!

Scott at the register needs a raise and promotion, he takes good care of people.

Picked up some cream of mushroom soup today. It’s my all time favorite & I definitely haven’t had such a delicious, well considered, from scratch mushroom soup like this in at least 10 years. Kuddos.

Fresh hand pressed Mcniel Canyon beef , awesome pizza (the Philly is awesome). Night chef Matt is always friendly and food is great . Can't beat the prices . The burritos are so big, enough to feed 2 . A must stop in on top of Baycrest
