Great store for just about anyone! I can find sweet gifts for all the people in my life here, from small chocolates and stickers to the most lovely jewelry and art, and even functional items for the home and kitchen. The store is so well curated it that everything I find feels like a special or useful item. I love all the locally made jewelry and artwork, things you can't find just anywhere. Sonia and her crew are really sweet and helpful if you ever need inspiration. So glad to have a shop like this in Santa Cruz!

Home/Work is located in the heart of Midtown, owned locally by the one and only Sonia McMoran. Sonia hand picks each item in her store with focus on locally produced, hand crafted, and quality products. She is my go to for holiday gifts, client gifts, friend gifts and host gifts. I even treat myself from time to time to a onsen bath gift or hand crafted local jewelry. There is something for everyone at her shop and she gift wraps on request. The best place is Home/Work! Check out her instagram and look for special events including popups and sales.

The store is very nice, clean, and the products are great. You can easily find great gift ideas, and nice things for yourself as well. I've been in the store twice, the first time being in 2023, and the second in 9/2024. During my first visit I walked in to find one employee stocking some items at the front entrance. The employee saw me walk in, and I was the only customer in the store. The employee did not acknowledge me, or greet me in any way. She did not ask if I needed any assistance. I spent over $150 that day. On my 2nd visit this week there were two employees, and one other customer. Again I was ignored the entire time. I would have happily spent money on a few great items but if the employees simply ignore me, and cannot be bothered to welcome or acknowledge me then I'll just take my money, and shop elsewhere.

I love Home/Work! They have a great and unique selection of home and outdoor goods, beautiful art by local artists and Sonia and her staff are always nice and knowledgeable. I have loved everything I got from this store for years! Well worth the visit to midtown.

Very cute storefront with a wide variety of goods from candles, to kitchen goods, cards, artwork, etc. I found a pineapple passion fruit cocktail mixer that was wonderful! It is a very welcoming space with a warm homey feel. Highly recommend!
