The docent was very helpful and the museum is surprisingly complete for the area. We skimmed through a lot as not being natives, there isn't the local interest, but still a good museum. The room setups for the various homes and offices is very thorough. Kudos to the donations.

What an amazing museum! There's something for every history lover: pioneers, war-time, king cattle, period clothing, dress up time for cute photos, and a great scavenger hunt to get the kiddos excited! The staff is second to none, too! They were friendly and even offered my son a snack when his blood sugar dropped. We'll be back next summer!

The exhibits are numerous and well designed with very detailed authentic artifacts. The annex building includes a school house which was relocated. It is great addition to the museum. The walls have very realistic murals that enhance the exhibits.
The museum is ran by a family...whose young son accompanied us to the annex and was very knowable and provided informed information on the exhibits.
The museum is well kept and organized and extremely affordable!

What a GREAT museum! Much bigger than it looks on the outside. Very nice displays; I loved the old dentist room! And the little schoolhouse across the street is a must-see...

I'm surprised this level of museum exists as a local one, I've been to many museums and this is definately comparable to the state museum in Cheyenne, if not better. They provide an amazing and elaborate demonstration of local history and even bothered to present how local history is connected to or reflect the American history as a whole. Think of it, how many museums can do that? You will get a glimpse of what early pioneer life was like, including the bar culture, barber shop, homes, jails, and even coal mines. I would go back to Thermopolis just to visit this museum again.

I only stopped in because the very nice lady at the Chamber of Commerce said it had the actual bar from hole-in-the -wall bar... and I had some time to spare. This place is off the charts. Fascinating history, photos and artifacts. I don't know how long I was here, but I know it was much longer than I spent at the Buffalo Bill center in Cody. So much history that needs to be preserved is right here inside these walls. The Veterans Memorial is just outside the front door. Good place to pause and remember our bravest.

What an amazing place! Very enjoyable. Lots and lots of history. Not just Hot Springs history, but history on many other areas nearby. Bought some Dill Pickle popcorn seasoning and Santa Barbara Tortilla soup mix. Had the soup tonight. Added sautéed ham chunks, and chopped onion before adding water, and soup mix. When done we added shredded cheese and sour cream. My husband added tortilla pieces to his. Delicious!!! Plenty enough to have more tomorrow night. 👍🏻
