We used Hotel Alice for our wedding room block and we are very happy with our choice! The location was perfect, staff was friendly and flexible, and the hotel itself is as cute as can be. The lobby is incredibly clean and decorated on theme with the hotel's namesake. I didn't stay here myself, but from my guests I heard that the rooms were clean and comfortable, with most (if not all) of the rooms recently updated.

We also rented out the lounge in the lobby the morning following our wedding guests. It was the perfect space for our guests to mingle, grab some coffee, and say their goodbyes before everyone went their separate ways. I couldn't recommend Hotel Alice enough for anyone looking for a clean and charming hotel with a great location in Atlantic Beach.

Ok, Im going to start by saying the Staff is great. The bartender at the little bar is fantastic, he did the best he could with what he had. Definitely not a bistro by any means. The decor downstairs is great. Could be a nice chill out area. Now the elevators were a little jerky, good thing those dirty handrails were there. When getting off that elevator 12 minutes later you step out to a unmopped unswept area. As you walk down the dimly light hallway you step into a room that makes you want to turn around. The " couch" was covered and I mean covered in mystery stains. I could literally see the out line of where someone's hair juice made a perfect outline of their head. The " leather" that was on parts of couch had definitely seen it's share excitement. If you dare to sit on it you will sink down into it as if sitting on a deflating balloon. And have mercy on my back that bed or should I say yoga mat with sheets on it. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. It was like a torture rack. At no angle that you laid was it comfortable. They give 4 pillows for a king bed and I promise you one person needs all 4. My arm gave me better support than those "pillows". The bathroom was clean but there's something odd about dancing around in your shower water. Was like taking a bath and a shower all at one time. The shower gel dispenser was empty but bubbled out on my hand smelled nice. The light by sink area is directly in front of the bed, so if you turn that on the person in bed get a super dose light. We had a Kool view of the golf course. Once again the staff was great but the hotel ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿฝ

I will not be staying here again. We had to go through several rooms before finding one that was halfway decent. First two floors are pet friendly and the room we viewed the bathroom smelled like wet dog, but we understand it is pet friendly. We didnโ€™t even go into the second room because the weed smell across the hall was overwhelming (staff was going to handle this, it was very frustrating for them), then settled upon a room that was โ€œokayโ€. Asked how long since someone had stayed in the room and we were told like the previous night but yet they had been trying not to use these particular rooms due to some renovations so I am not sure how long our linens and towels were sitting there and not changed out. This room should not be rented out until the mattress has been changed and the other furnishings like sofa (so low you can barely get up and down from sitting on it, perfect for children) has been replaced. Mattress was hard and you could feel and hear the springs. The room did appear clean-no sign of bugs just not sure if linens were fresh. Front staff (Billy) was very accommodating and friendly and it has a beautiful lobby. Side note: tone down the room freshener in the lobby. So strong you could practically taste it especially for people that have asthma or allergies especially pets that have very sensitive noses. This place has a lot of potential, prices are great, but unfortunately our room reflected the price but then again you shouldnโ€™t have to pay $200 for a less than 24 hour stay all the time especially during off season. Again, Billy was extremely nice and we appreciated his effort in trying to accommodate us and this review was in no way a reflection of his professionalism, but yet written to inform management.

Sue at the front desk was so friendly and helpful.
Michaela aka KK. Was the sweetest girl ever. I canโ€™t say enough About Billy at the front desk he suggested the best places to visit. The hotel was inviting and super clean. The housekeepers was so friendly and work hard to keep a clean hotel and the manager is on point with overseeing the hotel is well taking care of. Thanks for the best vacation.

This was my second time staying at this hotel on a trip to the Crystal Coast. It's a good home base since it is close to everything. There's a short walk to the beach, and it's only a few miles to Emerald Isle or Fort Macon, or across the bridge to Morehead City. The staff were very friendly and responsive. The room was clean, and everything worked well. There is a market in the lobby where you can buy drinks of all kinds, chips, candy, even some general items that you might have forgotten to pack. Wish the weather had been better, but otherwise it was a nice holiday.

To The Owner/General Manager:
We stayed over this past weekend, and were already planning on returning over Easter for several days, to the area. I want to tell you, Billy is the reason why we booked with you for this upcoming trip. Give this man a raise immediately as he embodies everything superior customer service is. Billy went out of his way to spend a lot of time with my wife and I, telling us about all of the best restaurants, and shelling locations in the area. This gentleman should be in upper management, and is an undeniable asset to your business. Thank you Billy for being so accommodating and awesome!

We made a quick trip down to NC and stayed at Hotel Alice. We really enjoyed our stay. It started with being welcomed by Kristen, who is absolutely wonderful and friendly. We had a couple of small issues and she was able to help us immediately. The hotel was easy to get to, had plenty of parking, and was clean. The only thing that wasn't the best is a personal preference, and I thought the bed was too hard. I did ask when I checked out, if all the rooms had the same mattress. I was told yes, but within the month, all rooms should have brand new mattresses (they have already been ordered) and they are getting new sofas in the rooms. This is exciting news. I liked that the room we stayed in had laminate flooring. I felt it was cleaner than carpeting is. I loved that the "king size bed" room had a sofa, kitchen area (sink, fridge, microwave, counter top, coffee maker), desk, bed, a real dresser, and bathroom area. I think this is normal for all rooms. The shower and toilet are in a small room, the sink is near the bed in the open. There was a lot of water pressure which made for a lovely shower. Our room looked over a golf course with a couple of large ponds. I understand the front rooms have a view of the ocean, at least from the top floor. There is a walkway to the beach which is a short walk across the street. Probably the equivalent of walking a block. There are some expensive restaurants nearby, and some reasonably prices ones. We went to eat at Cox's Restaurant, a little family type diner located in Moorehead City. We also enjoyed Nacho's Mexican Restaurant on the Island. We got breakfast at Lidl's, from their pastries display. We are looking to going back in the fall to do more exploring when we have more time.

Love the building, rooms are roomy and nice. Got a great room price so whatever negatives mentioned here, it was still a great value.

Staff was wonderful -- 5 stars! Bill (name?)at night desk has a lot of local knowledge and was happy to share information; friendly and great conversationalist. Kenn (name? he works at breakfast/bar area on weekends) was also great -- a lot of local knowledge, great conversationalist, willing to share good local info. I can overlook at lot with staff this friendly and helpful!

BUT: 1. bed (rm 312; bed near window) was hard and "springy" -- bad/worn out mattress (I hear upgrades are coming). 2. could not get hot water at the bathroom sink -- had to get it from the shower. 3. In-room coffee carafe/pot missing so couldn't make in-room coffee. no biggie, since I found complimentary coffee in the lobby.
