I recommend Janene’s to every engaged friend!! Both for the shopping experience and their alterations. The dress buying appointment was so amazing and stress free. They have dresses in REGULAR PEOPLE SIZES unlike several of the stores I went to before Janene’s. I’m a street size 8-10 and most dresses were a little big and could be clipped tighter. The stylist also let me roam around to pick dresses to try on first and then got a sense of what I liked and disliked and she picked the next round. After only a couple of rounds we found the one!!

The alterations department was also amazing to work with. I was a little spooked by the prices at first, but after doing some research they were honestly really reasonable. Jennifer also made me an entirely custom cape that came out absolutely incredible!!!! I gave her a super vague vision and sketched some bubbles on an iPad for where I wanted lace and she and the team knocked it out of the park. One of my best decisions of my wedding was going with Janene’s!

Had an amazing experience with dress shopping and staff were kind, friendly and were able to get a sense of style so they could recommend dresses. Love how the store is decorated and can accommodate a larger party since I had 8 people with me for my dress try on. I did end up going back to buy dress. The dress took incredibly long to be delivered but I bought two dresses a year in advance so I had plenty of time to have alterations once my dress arrived. Many dress styles to choose from and affordable prices compared to other locations I went to such as Trudy's and other dress stores in San Jose and SF. It was easy to get appointment and easy parking.

Now here is the issue I have that I noticed everyone else have. The alterations department is extremely overpriced and its strange that they ask you for full payment up front before they even work on dress. Most alterations that my family have gotten done for their wedding and my friends as well pay AFTER the work is done. I compared the quote they gave me and it was about 1,000$ more then what others quoted me for each of dresses. I also felt pressured during my first appointment since they said if I didn't I wouldn't have my dress done in time. Although I felt like price was too high I paid for one of my dresses that only needed a hem with them since I was worried my alterations wouldn't be done in time from all the comments they would make. After I got some price estimates back I realized I was overcharged so I took my reception dress elsewhere who had me pay AFTER services were done just like everywhere else and better pricing. I also heard from other people that I know who got alterations here that they ran behind schedule with alterations for their dresses for their wedding. Overall purchasing dress was nice experience but alterations avoid it and save yourself cost and time.

Recently went for my wedding dress shopping experience. Super cute shop, with a beautiful selection of dresses. I did the VIP experience which included charcuterie board, Sweet treats, and champagne and the overall experience was lovely. Although I'm assuming even without the VIP experience, the way the store was set up, every soon to be bride felt very special!
Maesa was my personal stylist for the day and I cannot say enough how truly special I felt because of Maesa. Truly knowledgeable, patient and so kind to not only me but my party. If you have the opportunity to book the VIP experience you should definitely ask for Maesa!

Latoya was AMAZING with her positivity and accurate assessments of my style. She made my fitting easygoing, lighthearted, and fun. And she helped me find my dress! The rest of the staff was so kind and supportive, as well. There were lots of options for plus sized brides like myself, so I had many more dresses to choose from than I had originally expected. The whole experience was stress-free and enjoyable, which made finding my wedding dress a lot easier. I also continued my dress hunting journey with other boutiques in the Bay Area but ultimately purchased my dress from Janene's. Not only were their prices competitive, Maya and the team were just awesome.

This is just for the trying on experience at Janene's -

I had the BEST experience out of any place I've been to try on dresses so far here. They had the most dresses out of any place I've been in California, organized by designer and style. The place was enormous, clean, and I loved that we got to go through and select dresses that interested me, in addition to stylists pulling ones they thought went with that style.

The sales associate who helped me was Latoya, and she was just above and beyond. I've been struggling to choose a dress (this was appointment #4) and she gave me better insights than any therapist would haha. We were able to figure out what customizations were possible to make me LOVE my dress, and I'm excited for the next steps.

Had the best time flying out to Cali to try on dresses from Janene’s Bridal shop!! all the people i wanted got to be there and we had the best time with champagne, macarons, and a grazing board!! This was by far the best experience ever and Asurah definitely made the day special for me and my friends!! I can’t wait to see my dream dress in a few months!! 100% highly recommend coming here to find a dress and even if you’re far away, we flew from Mississippi!!! thank you Janene’s Bridal for giving me the best experience i’ll never forget!!
