My experience with JAW Transmission was excellent. James correctly diagnosed the transmission problem with my Subaru Forrester. He even noticed that the part identified by my vehicles vin number was incorrect and got the right replacement part for me. Jim was fantastic. I had an urgent need and he found a way to accommodate me, even when he was on a tight deadline for another project. He got me back up on the road and running like I needed to be -- and was *more* than fair to me in doing so.

My mom took her Honda accord due to a check engine light and we taught it was something bad but when they check it it was something small and they explain what it was to her and if it was somewhere else they would’ve took advantage of her so I just wanted to say they do a great job and they are honest people also I took my 2009 Mazda Rx8 and it was done well and we took my sisters 2011 Honda accord too.

At first, I took my car to Wayside Garage, but they charged me $350 for diagnostics, so I called my old mechanic in my home state and they told me to look for a transmission shop for my issue. I had a transmission rebuilt by James and everything worked perfectly. Best price and warranty in Monterey bay. About a year later I had a small issue but he had no problem taking it in for warranty work. I had my car back on the road in about 2 days thanks to his quick service. Will definitely come back next time I need a service. 5 STAR business.

James has a great knowledge of transmissions which is extremely valuable due to the complexity of the part. I brought my 2005 Jeep in for multiple issues with the transmission and without even driving it he had a theory of what the problem was, and after driving it he confirmed it, repaired it, and turned out to be 100% correct. He also supplied a warranty that was conditional on my bringing the vehicle back for him to do free checkups on it. You can tell that he not only enjoys his work but he wants his customers to have a smooth and very positive experience even after the work is completed. I wouldn't hesitate referring anyone in need of transmission work to JW Transmissions.
