Upscale resale. This store has a nice selection of gently used clothing from quality brands. The prices are very reasonable. The store is clean, well-appointed, and they have four or five large fitting rooms. It's mostly contemporary women's clothing, but they do have a growing selection of men's clothes and designer wear.

I love Love It! It's so nice to have a quality, secondhand clothing shop in State College where you never know what you might find!

I have found so many great items and very fair prices and look forward to not only selling to them, but also buying with them.

Brought in a bag full of barely worn, nice clothes of the same brands they sell there — Madewell, Nine West, Loft, etc. They wouldn’t buy any of them, which is annoying, but I understand that it’s because of their business model. Sometimes they have too much of a particular item or are looking for a specific season. But when I picked them up, they couldn’t even give me a reason why so that I knew for the future; all they would say is “it’s hit or miss, try again next time” and recommended that I try Plato’s Closet. Won’t be wasting my time or money there in the future.

My husband and I arrived at 10:02 am when the store was suppose to be open at 10:00 am which we understand that happens but the staff member did not have to be rude as I was waiting outside. She walked up and said (in not the nicest tone) “can you give me a minute, I just pulled in”. Then when my husband went into the store to get bins and bags, she put them on the counter abruptly and said “here”. My husband wanted to confirm the amount on the check since we were picking up the bins and bags for a friend. Her response was “that’s not my job”. Overall our experience felt rushed and did not receive great customer service.

I would highly recommend you do not buy luxury goods here! They are willing to purchase products they cannot authenticate and sell them!
Very bad experience selling here. They held me off and gave me agnostic responses for 3 weeks as I was trying to sell them ~$600 in luxury clothing, despite their claim to checking every Monday and getting back to you soon.
They proceeded to offer me 3-5x less than binding offers I have received online after the 3 weeks.They wanted to purchase other items they could not "authenticate," but I think any respectable business would simply turn away items that they could not authenticate. I purchased all of these items over a reputable site that legit checks items that come in.
Overall a very poor experience in conducting business with them. I cannot in good faith recommend people try to sell their clothes here, or spend a lot of money on a luxury good due to the possibility of its inauthenticity.

This is my favorite consignment store that I have been to. They have a great variety of nice clothes, shoes, and purses. Anytime I visit state college I make sure to stop by.

The selection is great but this is likely because their purchasing prices are truly a rip off. I would have been better off giving away some of the stuff I brought in to someone who would love it rather than allowing them to pay me such a low amount to turn around and sell it for triple or more what they paid. They only provide a “total” rather than offer per item so it’s easy to miss the lowball. Because of this my Burberry/Farm Rio/NWT stuff was bundled with everything else and they paid me next to nothing.
