I go for the excellent meat dept and superior service behind the counter. If you are looking for the best meat this is the place to go and you won't be standing around waiting in ridiculous lines like Safeway or Luckys. Check out is speedy as well with lots of employees to help move you along.

Well, I was going to eat at that Japanese style steakhouse but the doorman at The Googunsteller Auditorium where I was planning on hearing T-Bone Splitlipper tell of his escapades as the only black ballet dancer in Iceland, told me I should go to Lunardi's Market and eat there, I was puzzled but, the way I see it..when a fancy pants doorman sporting a blue mohawk offers unsolicited advice on where to eat...you go.
I went and had an Amazing sandwich! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

First time I went in for fresh cut meats. Good experience. High prices but that's ok.

Second time, the customer service was the worst. The guys at the meat counter were great. The employees up front at checkout are the reason I will never return. I went to checkstand 7, no one was there. I waited a few moments and some guy walks in front of me with an employee and starts checking out. The customer owes me nothing. The employee could have at least said, "pardon me ma'am, this gentleman was next in the other line." But I got NOTHING. The tall man who was the cashier did not even make eye contact.
I work in customer service myself, so I expect to at least be acknowledged, especially if I'm about to drop $200 on ONE shopping bag of goods.
I left my cart and went to Safeway.
Thanks for nothing Lunardi. I will not be back.

Just got an awesome liverwurst sandwich from Lunardi's deli counter. Reminds me of grandma's sandwiches as a kid. Approx $10, as I added Monterey jack cheese, but oh so good. Check out my photos of the full service deli. They got hot food, such as rotisserie chicken, and variety of salads and pasta mixes too. You'll find something you like, plus they got a very good bakery too, in case you get a sweet tooth. Enjoy!

This market doesn't disappoint. Everything they have for sale is an excellent quality and high variety. It has a superb quality meat butcher dept. offering all the variety you could desire. If you happen to get lucky and find the Lamb Sausages available... get a few, they are amazing. They separately have a full deli, sandwich meat, potato salads, sandwiches made to order, with amazing ingredients and variety. Then, separately, they have an amazing bakery section with deserts like pie, cakes, etc. They care about their staff and the store is always well staffed at checkout. They have everything you need for that recipe.. a one stop shop. Thanks so much!
