We came in early afternoon me and my husband have never experienced such a poor experience in a shop. The shop owner was a bitter old man who shoved me out of the way and instead of acknowledging and apologizing to me they just shook their head disapprovingly.

The best selection in all of the eastern Sierra! The prices are fantastic and the owner has the best sense of humor and is one of the nicest guys in your life that you will ever meet.
Well, if you are lucky enough to get his humor and candor! Lmao!! They even had Monkey 47 gin!! Also great selections for diabetics too! Just gobsmacked! Well done Mammoth Liquor!!

Read the reviews and was a little hesitant to spend my money at this liquor store. Saw that they have over 300 beers and thought I'd let myself decide if it's somewhere I want to spend my money... Walked in, looked around and saw a nice assortment of different beers (and liquor) and all of them seemed reasonably priced. Chatted with the owner about his sports teams and he seemed really friendly. I had no issues and thought the prices were fair. I'll be back!

Older lady answered the phone and was short, rude and crotchety. If that’s the owner then they must be lucky there’s not many options in Mammoth. Wouldn’t spend my money there.

My friend and I walked in to this store at about 4pm on 11/19 to immediately be greeted to the cashier, rudely and condescendingly, telling a person (who stated his first language was not English) how to either say:

“yes, I’d like a reciept… or no, I don’t want a reciept, it’s that easy…”

The customer apologized for not fully understanding what the cashier was asking, and the cashier stated “well you seem to understand english good enough.”

Then the cashier had the audacity to say the customer “had a problem” after the customer asked, “what’s your problem sir?”

&TLDR: Cashier is rude, don’t spend your money here, great selection MULTIPLE places within a mile.

And if you’re the cashier reading this… dude you need to reevaluate your life and the way you treat people. Energy you put out in the universe will come back to you. Start sending positivity and kindness, because right now you definitely are the problem.

I came in on Fri 4/1 around 430pm
The guy working was super rude and seems sour. U ask him a question and he doesn't respond so u repeat the ques then he's gives a rude response. That was one of several rude n bitter interactions. I see this store has 3 .5 stars and comments about their unnecessary rude attitudes. Smh. :-/
