Regarding the review left by Nouveau Riche Life, I can confirm that he was mistakenly writing about Marina Del Rey Pharmacy and NOT Marina pharmacy. I know because I had the EXACT same experience several years ago at Marina del Rey Pharmacy. I would never go back there as their pharmacist is a nightmare. Marina Pharmacy is new to me so I am not leaving a review for them just yet but I wanted to correct the review I read. It is not fair when businesses get damaged reputations by the actions of other businesses.

Marina pharmacy is not to be confused with Marina del Rey pharmacy. I transferred all my prescriptions to Marina Pharmacy and it was a good decision for me. When shopping I much prefer a personal touch over a corporate wait in line experience. It is with all confidence that I can highly recommend Marina Pharmacy.

Never coming back here. Imagine coming in once a month to get your regular prescription for several months. I have asked my doctor to lower the dose, so he sent my updated prescription a week ago.

Came in today to pick it up and got the following SHOCKING RESPONSE:
"Sorry, we can't fill your prescription. We have a limited quantity and this is a new prescription"

So I explain - I have been coming here for several months with no issues. All he did was lower the dose per my request.

"Yeah we can't do it sorry there are other customers that need it and we have limited quantity"

Am I not a customer? this isn't the first time I'm coming in for this prescription! I come in once a month!!! so you're telling me you're prioritizing other customers? ok, cool. WHY DIDNT YOU CALL TO NOTIFY?

"Yeah sorry, we should have called"

If that's not enough for you to never go there, I don't know what is.

EDIT: they mention below that I was a new client; I was NOT. I’ve filled that prescription there multiple times. All my doctor did was give me an adjustment in the dose.

I’m all for supporting small business but this is not the place. The owner is legitimately the rudest human. He should not be customer facing if he hates his customers and job so much.

Recently I went in to pick up a prescription he had said he would have for me on Monday. When I arrived He told me to hold on they were very busy. Okayyyy I was the only person in the pharmacy. But If he says he’s busy he’s busy sooo I waited patiently for a few minutes while he answered calls etc vs dealing with the human standing inside his pharmacy.
Once he finallllly addressed me he told me he doesn’t carry the medicine I was there for. (Would have been nice if you asked me when I walked in what I was there for and saved me the time of waiting while you answered multiple calls and did everything but assist me) I said “that’s strange because I called you a few days ago and you specifically told me to come in because you would be getting it on Monday.” Then he rudely said “I don’t carry that medicine.” Okayyyy

He’s just really a miserable human. This is not my first terrible interaction with him. I always go in friendly and agreeable with high hopes he’ll mimic an ounce of my kindness back to me when speaking with me. Nope. The way he speaks to his customers is mind blowing to me.

Also I saw the review below talking about how he prioritizes which customers he gives prescriptions to. I can confirm that he has done this to me. And I don’t doubt it’s how he operates regularly.
A friend had gone in to pick up the same prescription I needed. They chatted he mentioned having plenty blah blah so I went in a few hours later to pick up mine and he said “he hasn’t had that prescription in his pharmacy for weeks.” I said “hmm that’s strange because you just filled it for X earlier today”

The distaste I have for this man and this place is on another level. If he’s good to you, enjoy. But if you’re looking for a new pharmacy or want to support small business DO NOT BOTHER! He hates new customers. Even if you’ve been going there regularly for months.
